Congratulations ZAHS!!!
Back to back CHAMPION😍
1st Place Street Dance Exhibition😍😍

With hearts full of gratitude, we want to say Thank You to our incredible Tinagba festival dancers! Your energy, passion, and rehearsals, brought the streets of Iriga to life. Watching you move in harmony, was truly mesmerizing. You took our culture and turned it into a masterpiece on stage.
To our choreographers, artistic team, trainers, teachers, and every individual behind the scenes - from the costume designers to the prop makers - thank you for the sleepless nights and unwavering dedication.
And to our supporters, teachers, friends, and family who provided food, transportation and logistics, and loud cheers, this championship also belongs to you, too! You made sure our team was fed, prepared and inspired.
To our partner institution, the Fatima Integrated School, for lending us the truck to transport our props, thank you Sister Vanice, and to our friends from the BFP, thank you for the instant rain you poured into our dancers, and for the support extended.
This win is a testament to what we can achieve when a community comes together.
We are so proud of everyone.

Good luck, ZAHS!
Basta Zeferinian, Magaling ‘yan!

ARRIBA Iriga! Arriba ZAHS!
📍Zeferino Arroyo High School

This costume portrays the Agta, the indigenous group of Iriga City, and reflects their strength, simplicity, and deep connection to nature, making it fitting for the Tinagba Festival Street Dancing Competition. The ensemble features earth-toned body paint that mimics natural skin textures, paired with red and gold garments adorned with beads, tassels, and native-inspired patterns that represent cultural pride and tradition.

The headbands, arm pieces, and layered accessories highlight a warrior-like identity, symbolizing resilience and bravery. The female dancer carries a harvest-inspired prop decorated with vegetables and vines, representing abundance and the Agta’s role in gathering and offering the first fruits of the land. The male dancer holds a carved, gold-toned “patong”with feather accents, signifying strength, protection, and ritual importance.

Overall, the costume embodies the Agta’s hardworking spirit, their harmony with nature, and their contribution to the story of Tinagba as a celebration of thanksgiving, harvest, and community heritage.

The pioneer batch of the ZAHS Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) participated in a two-day seminar, the 1st Journo Media Con, organized by the Young Communicators Society of the College of Liberal Arts, USANT.

The event was made possible through the initiative of Dan Angelo Noarin, YCOSOC President and a ZAHS alumna, who opened an opportunity for these young learners to gain first-hand knowledge and insights from local speakers of great caliber in the field of journalism and media.

The students were accompanied by their class adviser, Ma’am Kirstin Puso, and the SPJ Coordinator, Ma’am Verna Contreras, along with their student-teachers, Ma’am Nat and Ma’am Mellibeth.
