💡Ang kuryente ay dumadaan sa tatlong pangunahing bahagi bago makarating sa atin:

1️⃣ Generation – Dito ginagawa ang kuryente ng mga kumpanya gaya ng GN POWER MARIVELES ENERGY LTD CO., THERMA LUZON, INC. AT MASINLOC POWER CO. LTD.
2️⃣ Transmission – Sa pamamagitan ng NGCP, ang kuryente ay dinadala sa malalayong lugar gamit ang high-voltage lines. *Kaya nagkakaroon ng power interruption kapag nag maintenance ang NGCP*
3️⃣ Distribution – Ang ating SORECO I ang namamahala sa pamamahagi ng kuryente papunta sa mga bahay, negosyo, at komunidad.

Sa lahat ng Member-Consumers ng SORECO I:

📌 Alinsunod sa inilabas na abiso ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) hinggil sa pagpapatupad ng consumer protection measures kaugnay ng Executive Order No. 110, pansamantalang isususpinde ng SORECO I ang disconnection activities para sa mga residential at non-residential consumers na may hindi nabayarang bill sa mga billing period mula Mayo 2026 hanggang Hulyo 2026.

✅ Ang mga kwalipikadong konsyumer ay maaaring mag-avail ng pagpaliban o hulugang paraan ng pagbabayad na nakasaad sa nasabing ERC Advisory.

⚠️ Gayunpaman, ang collection activities at disconnection para sa mga hindi nabayarang bill bago ang Mayo 2026 ay mananatiling ipinatutupad alinsunod sa umiiral na mga polisiya at alituntunin ng SORECO I. Kaya’t ang operasyon ng pagkolekta para sa Abril 2026 billing at mga naunang arrears ay magpapatuloy.

💡 Paalala: Bagama’t suspendido ang disconnection activities sa nasabing panahon, nananatiling obligasyon ang pagbabayad ng singil sa kuryente. Hinihikayat ang lahat na agad na magbayad upang maiwasan ang pagdami ng balanse.

16 plants are on forced outage since May, 1 plant since April, 3 plants since March, 1 plant since February, 3 since January, 3 plants since 2025, 2 plants since 2024, and 1 plant out since 2019; while 14 plants are running on derated capacities, for a total of 4,160MW unavailable to the grid.

The Tayabas-Ilijan 500kV Line and the Dasmarinas-Ilijan 500kV Line were restored on 13 May 2026 at 2:44PM and 4:52PM, respectively. We are waiting for the affected plants to resynchronize back to the grid.

A red alert status is issued when power supply is insufficient to meet consumer demand and the transmission grid’s regulating requirement.

A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid’s contingency requirement.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF POWER INTERRUPTION
May 13–14, 2026

SORECO I informs all member-consumer-owners that the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) acknowledged the following power interruptions affecting portions of the franchise area, for the reference and information of all member-consumer-owners:

• May 13, 2026 | 6:30 AM – 6:43 AM
Affected Substations: Irosin, Bulan, Tughan, and Lajong
Cause: Automatic Load Dropping due to generation deficiency

• May 13, 2026, 11:00 PM – May 14, 2026, 12:05 AM
Affected Substations: Irosin, Bulan, and Tughan
Cause: Manual Load Dropping due to generation deficiency

These interruptions were beyond the control of SORECO I and were implemented by NGCP due to power generation deficiency in the grid.
