A meaningful moment of appreciation as City General Services Officer Eugene B. Strong, of the Local Government Unit of Isabela, under Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman's administration, receives a Plaque of Appreciation from the Isabela City Fire Station, headed by Acting Fire Marshall FSINSP Vincent F. Toribio, together with the dedicated men of the Bureau of Fire Protection.

The recognition honors Mr. Strong’s invaluable support, generous contribution, and steadfast commitment to the successful establishment of the Menzi Fire Sub-Station — a partnership that reflects a shared commitment to excellence, community development, and public service.

𝗪𝗔𝗖𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆

The Local Government Unit of Isabela City has officially launched the Waste Analysis and Characterization Study (WACS) 2026, a vital initiative aimed at updating our existing waste data and strengthening our Solid Waste Management plans for the years ahead.

Guided by the visionary leadership of Hon. Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, this activity is made possible through the generous support of DENR-EMB Region IX and the EU-PH Green Economy Partnership (GEP).

Running from August 4 to 6, 2026, the study covers all 45 barangays across Isabela City, as well as business establishments, schools, public institutions, and hospitals.

The findings gathered from this comprehensive assessment will serve as the official basis for our future city planning, the design and implementation of effective waste management programs, and for securing assistance and grants from partner agencies and organizations.

Leading the conduct of the activity are key officials and teams: Engr. Karen C. Tandang (DENR-EMB 9 SWM Unit Chief), CENRO Albino Orbecido, CGSO Eugene B. Strong, together with the MRF staff, Sea Sweepers Team, ITFD, Barangays officials, and other dedicated personnel from the City General Services Office.

This effort reflects our shared commitment to build a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Isabela City—one that we can all be proud of.

𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥: 𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 || The City General Services Office (CGSO) of the Isabela City Government led by CGS Officer Eugene B. Strong, remains steadfast in delivering efficient administrative and logistical support services that contribute to the effective functioning of the local government. Guided by its mandate to manage government properties, supplies, and general services, the office continuously strengthens institutional systems that promote transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in public service.

In 2025, the office made significant contributions to the city, primarily benefiting the public. These initiatives included the provision of free caskets, the continuous provision of a "chair-to-share" program, and the launch of Project Zero. Additionally, efforts were dedicated to an Information Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign across various sectors, focusing on enhancing public knowledge of waste management and strengthening the Isabela BRICKS Program.

Through sustained collaboration, innovation, and dedication to public service, and the full support of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, CGSO continues to play a vital role in advancing the vision of a progressive, environmentally responsible, and people-centered local government. The office remains committed to working collectively with stakeholders in achieving sustainable development and fostering a happy and dignified life for all.

𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗨𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗭𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗔 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Head of the City General Services Office, Mr. Eugene B. Strong, personally inspected the ongoing leveling works of two key facilities: the Soccer Field at Begang National High School and the Baseball/Softball Field at SWM Facility, Sitio Lantung, Baluno Barangay.

These facilities will be used for the incoming ZPRAA Meet, which Isabela will host – marking the first time the event is held in the area.

The activity is supported by City Mayor Sitti Djalia T. Hataman, as part of her 9-point agenda focused on Health, Education, and Well-Being, in line with her commitment to supporting the Department of Education.

Our new type of bricks is now in production, made from recycled materials as part of our waste diversion efforts.

We extend our gratitude to City Mayor Sitti Djalia T. Hataman for supporting this program, which was initiated by Mr. Eugene B. Strong, Head of the CGSO.

Ang dating pick-up point ng basura sa tabi ng Alano Compound ay opisyal na sinarado ng Lungsod ng Isabela, sa pamumuno ni Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin at pinangunahan ni CGSO Head Eugene B. Strong.

BAGONG PICK-UP POINT

Mula ngayon, ang pagkukuha ng basura ay gaganapin sa harap ng West Terminal, Barangay Aguada.

Hinihiling po sa lahat na sumunod sa itinalagang oras at araw ng koleksyon upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng basura sa iba't ibang lugar at mapanatili ang kalinisan at kaayusan ng ating komunidad.

Magtulungan po tayong lahat para sa ikakalinis at ikakaayos ng ating lungsod.

On January 10, 2026, a coastal clean-up drive was held at Parola, Marang-Marang as part of our regular Sabado Limpieza efforts.

The activity was led by the City General Services Office (Head: Mr. Eugene B. Strong), the City Environmental and Natural Resources (Head: Mr. Albino Orbecido), and Barangay Marang-Marang (Punong Barangay Ahmad Hamad).

An estimated 60 personnel joined hands for our coast, collecting over 300 sacks of segregated garbage – mostly plastic bottles – which were delivered to the mainland for proper treatment and disposal.

Together, let's work to keep our coastal areas clean and safe for everyone!

𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐄

On the first working day of 2026, the Head of City General Services Office (CGSO), Mr. Eugene B. Strong, together with the Engineering Office represented by Mr. Kaiser Sulayman, and other staff of LGU-Isabela City, conducted an inspection of the drainage system along New Mabuhay Trading.

Upon checking, it was found that the existing drainage was clogged with garbage and mud, preventing water from flowing properly.

Mr. Strong immediately instructed the drainage maintenance team of the City Engineering Office and staff from the CGSO to remove the garbage and debris causing the blockage.

PUBLIC REMINDER

We urge everyone to be responsible in disposing of their garbage to avoid clogging drainage systems and polluting the environment. Let us all do our part in protecting and saving our environment for the betterment of Isabela City.
