Sa panahon ng Energy State of Calamity, malaki ang maitutulong ng simpleng pagbabago sa ating araw-araw na gawain 💡

Magluto ng one-pot meals para tipid sa gas at kuryente. Kumain ng mas maraming prutas at gulay—masustansya na, wala pang dagdag konsumo sa enerhiya. 🌱

Panatilihing presko ang bahay—buksan ang bintana sa umaga at gumamit ng indoor plants para sa natural na hangin. 🌿

Sa paggamit ng tubig, piliin ang tabo at balde kaysa shower, at mag-ipon ng ulan para sa paglilinis. 💧

Maging aktibo—maglakad kung kaya, at patuyuin sa araw ang damit imbes na gumamit ng dryer. ☀️

At huwag kalimutan ang sapat na pahinga—maagang pagtulog ay tipid sa kuryente at mabuti sa kalusugan. 😴

Maliit na hakbang, malaking tulong. Sama-sama nating alagaan ang katawan at magtipid ng biyaya! 💛

Ang pagmamahal ng isang ina ay walang kapantay. 💙

Sa Tabuan, Lasa, ibinahagi ng mga ina ang kanilang makabuluhang testimonya kung bakit buong puso nilang sinuportahan ang Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity. Para sa kanila, ang kalusugan at kaligtasan ng kanilang mga anak ang pinakamahalaga. Sa kabila ng mga hamon at maling impormasyon, pinili nilang magtiwala sa mga health professionals upang masiguro ang proteksyon laban sa tigdas at rubella. Ang kanilang mga kuwento ay patunay ng tapang, malasakit, at pananagutan bilang magulang.

Sama-sama, sa pamamagitan ng MRSIA, pinangangalagaan natin ang kinabukasan ng bawat bata at ng buong komunidad.

The Drug Awareness Symposium was successfully conducted in three senior high schools across the province, gathering a total of 100 senior high school students per activity.

📍 October 13, 2025 – Tipo-Tipo National High School
📍 January 29, 2026 – Sinangkapan National High School, Tuburan
📍 February 10, 2026 – Mangal National High School, Sumisip

The symposium was led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Provincial Government of Basilan. The activity was also supported by partner agencies including the Philippine National Police, Local Government Units, Municipal Health Offices, and the Department of Education teachers and staff.

The primary aim of the symposium was to educate and empower students with accurate information about the ill effects of illegal drugs, the legal consequences of drug involvement, and effective preventive measures. Through open discussions and engaging lectures, students gained deeper understanding of how substance abuse can negatively impact their health, future, families, and communities.

The students actively participated and demonstrated increased awareness and commitment to staying drug-free. Together, we continue to strengthen our campaign for a safer, healthier, and drug-free youth.

Sa panahon ngayon, napakabilis kumalat ng impormasyon, lalo na sa social media. Ang maling impormasyon ay nagdudulot ng takot at pag-aalinlangan na maaaring maglagay sa panganib sa kalusugan ng ating mga anak.

Ang Measles–Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity ay isang mahalagang programa na layong protektahan ang mga bata laban sa tigdas at rubella - mga sakit na maaaring magdulot ng malubhang komplikasyon at pagkamatay. Ang bakunang ginagamit sa MRSIA ay ligtas, epektibo, at dumaan sa masusing pag-aaral ng mga eksperto sa kalusugan.

Bilang mga magulang at tagapag-alaga, tungkulin nating maging mapanuri sa impormasyong ating pinaniniwalaan at ibinabahagi. Huwag basta magtiwala sa mga post, video, o mensahe na walang sapat na basehan. Sa halip, kumunsulta sa mga lisensyadong doktor, nurse, midwife, at health workers na may sapat na kaalaman at pagsasanay.

Hinihikayat namin ang lahat ng magulang na suportahan ang MRSIA at dalhin ang kanilang mga anak sa itinakdang araw ng pagbabakuna. Ito ay hakbang ng pagmamahal, malasakit, at pananagutan para sa kanilang kalusugan at kinabukasan.

Sama-sama nating labanan ang fake news. Piliin ang tama, magtiwala sa eksperto, at unahin ang kalusugan ng bawat bata.

The Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) monitoring and supervision was conducted under the leadership of the Provincial Health Officer II, Dr. Sharifa Ann C. Abbas, together with the Chief of Technical Division, Dr. Saifunnasri S. Hajan; Provincial Immunization Coordinator, Mr. Wymar R. Ladjiman; and Health Education and Promotion Officer, Ms. Marida E. Sayyadi, along with the provincial health staff. The activity was further supported by the Ministry of Health–BARMM Director General, Dr. Abduhalik M. Kasim, and the Director II for Technical Services, Dr. Ahmad-Fawadz A. Israel, with representatives from the DOH Central Office, namely Ms. Jasmin Mae Mendoza, Ms. Wardah Bilao, Ms. Arlene Tibig, and Ms. Ma. Graziella C. Aytona.

The monitoring team visited the City Health Office of Lamitan and the Municipality of Maluso to assess the implementation of the MRSIA, focusing on service delivery, cold chain management, documentation, and community engagement strategies. During the visit, the team engaged with local health workers to provide technical guidance, address operational challenges, and reinforce adherence to national immunization standards and protocols.

The activity highlighted the strong collaboration between national, regional, and local health authorities in ensuring the effective rollout of the MRSIA. The visit also emphasized the shared commitment to protecting children from measles and rubella through quality immunization services and strengthened health system support at the local level.

Courtesy meetings were also held with key local government officials to strengthen support for the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity. The team met with the Provincial Governor of Basilan, Hon. Mujiv S. Hataman, and conducted coordination meetings with the Lamitan City LGU led by Hon. Mayor Oric Furigay, as well as the Municipality of Maluso headed by Hon. Mayor Kaizer Hataman and Hon. Vice Mayor Ahmad Rugasan Daud.
