NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS SCHOOL SAFETY DRILL FOR ACTIVE ATTACK INCIDENTS |

In support of the Department of Education’s Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents, the Isabela Fire Station, under the supervision of SFO2 Jun Michael T Tolosa, Caretaker, participated in the conduct of the activity in coordination with school officials, teaching and non-teaching personnel, learners, and other concerned stakeholders, together with the Isabela Municipal Police Station, Local Government Unit (LGU) of Isabela, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), and other partner agencies and stakeholders.

The activity aimed to strengthen the preparedness and response capabilities of schools and concerned agencies in addressing active attack incidents and other emergencies that may threaten the safety and security of learners and school personnel. It also sought to enhance inter-agency coordination, communication, emergency protocols, and the timely evacuation and provision of appropriate assistance to affected individuals.

The conduct of the drill underscores the importance of maintaining a safe, prepared, and resilient school environment, particularly in light of recent concerns regarding incidents of violence in schools in the Philippines. Through regular drills and coordinated preparedness activities, the BFP and its partner agencies remain committed to protecting lives and ensuring the safety and security of the school community.
