𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗜𝗦𝗔𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗔 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝟭𝟮𝟲𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗖𝗦𝗔 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 "𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗥: 𝗔 𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗔 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘" | Isabela City Gymnasium turned into a glittering stage on October 1 as the City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, closed the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) with "STELLAR: A Gala of Public Service Excellence."
Organized by the City Human Resource and Management Office (CHRMO) headed by Rosella Luna, the event brought together city officials, department heads, division chiefs, LGU employees, and awardees. Everyone showed up in their best attire, and the night was as much a celebration as it was a thank-you to the people who keep the city running.
Mayor Hataman began by congratulating everyone for completing a full month of CSC Anniversary celebrations. She also thanked the HR team for putting the program together. She encouraged employees to keep growing as public servants, and to do it together.
The Mayor also shared that Isabela City is now often invited to tell its story to other places. For her, this shows that the city's sacrifices, long hours, and challenges were never only for Isabela. "Hindi lang pala natin ginawa para sa Isabela, kundi para din sa Basilan, sa Mindanao, at sa buong Pilipinas," she said, because other communities now see something worth following and being inspired by.
"Isabela City Basilan has proven that much can be done, and that the sacrifices, commitment, and competencies built over the years now benefit not only Isabeleños but other Filipinos as well," she added.
On the night's theme, Mayor Hataman said "STELLAR" fits the city's workforce well, because it reflects the stellar performance each employee has shown for Isabela City in recent years. She also said that every gown, barong, and smile on the gala night was a reminder that behind the glamour are people who work hard, day in and day out, for their community.
She closed with a message to the employees, "Sana, iiwanan ko kayo na may lakas at kakayahan na hindi lang ipagpatuloy ang nasimulan natin, kundi higitan pa ang mga nagawa natin."
A photo opportunity with the Mayor, city officials, and employees per office followed the message. Vice Mayor Ar-Jhemar Ajibon then joined in awarding trophies and medals to the Sports Awardees and certificates to the Open House Awardees. Plaques were also given to the Service and HAPIsabela Awardees, with the Vice Mayor joined by City Councilors Hon. Jeromy Casas, Hon. Asan-Al Ameen Camlian, Hon. Abner Rodriguez, Hon. Alexes Ututalum, Hon. Jashim Tiplani, Hon. Yusop Abubakar, and Hon. Naila Belleng, IPMR Jamalul Habibun, and City Administrator Pedrito Eisma.
The fun part came next, with the search for the night's special awardee, the Slay of the Night. The night ended with the much-awaited raffle draw, open to all employees, with Vice Mayor Ajibon, the city councilors, IPMR Habibun, and City Administrator Eisma on stage to help draw the lucky winners.
At its heart, the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary is about honoring the men and women who serve the public with integrity and dedication. The gala night captured that spirit – a moment for Isabela City's workforce to pause, celebrate each other's work, and enjoy the night they deserve. From the awards to the raffle, the evening showed that a strong city is built by people who work hard and also look out for one another.
