This instructional video was initiated as part of the Laban ni E.D.I.T.H. campaign, which aims to aggressively inculcate in the minds and hearts of all individuals the importance of regularly practicing exit drills in their homes. Most people neglect and take this for granted, and in the worst circumstances, it results in death.

This instructional Video can be downloaded by scanning the QR Code found in Laban ni E.D.I.T.H. posters and tarpaulins. A digitalized approach to keeping the community reminded of what to do in case of these incidents, further bringing fire preventive measures right at the fingertips of every family member

The activity featured a simulation exercise designed to assess and test the preparedness, effectiveness, and efficiency of the school and first responders in managing and responding to various emergency situations.

The drill also provided an avenue to strengthen coordination, communication, and interoperability among the school administration, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Barangay Officials, and other concerned stakeholders.

Through this exercise, participants were able to identify areas for improvement and further enhance their emergency preparedness and response capabilities. Continuous drills and strong inter-agency coordination are vital in ensuring a swift, organized, and effective response, ultimately helping safeguard the lives and well-being of students, teachers, school personnel, responders, and the community.

Today, SFO2 Erick John C Tamayo, Deputy Municipal Fire Marshal/Acting Chief, Fire Safety Enforcement Section (FSES), and Acting Emergency Management Unit (EMU), newly assigned personnel of Janiuay Fire Station, accompanied by SFO4 Lyra P Villafranca, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, paid a courtesy call to Hon. Paulino M. Parian, Municipal Mayor of Janiuay, Iloilo.

The courtesy call served as an opportunity to formally introduce SFO2 Tamayo to the Municipal Mayor and strengthen coordination, cooperation, and partnership between the Janiuay Fire Station and the Local Government Unit of Janiuay.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of maintaining strong collaboration among local government officials and fire service personnel in promoting fire safety, disaster preparedness, and effective emergency response for the protection and safety of the community.
