Blessed with a fine and sunny morning, the employees of Federico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital (FRTSMDH) gathered for the regular Monday Flag Ceremony, beginning the week with unity, patriotism, and a renewed commitment to public service.

The Panunumpa was led by Mr. Roland M. Lujan, Chief Nurse, reminding everyone of their oath to uphold integrity, professionalism, and dedication in serving the public.

Following the flag ceremony, employees enthusiastically participated in a lively Zumba session led by Janiuay Zumba Team as part of the hospital's Nutrition Month Celebration. Last Monday, July 13, 2026, the employees of Federico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital gathered for the regular Monday Flag Ceremony, reaffirming their commitment to public service and quality healthcare.

The Panunumpa was led by Ms. Margie Gaje, Nurse I, reminding everyone of their oath to serve with integrity, dedication, and compassion.

Following the ceremony, Dr. Villa expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all employees who willingly extended their help during the flooding incident last July 12, 2026 (Sunday) within the hospital. He acknowledged the teamwork, dedication, and quick response demonstrated by the staff in ensuring the safety of patients, visitors, and hospital facilities. He emphasized that such unity and cooperation reflect the true spirit of public service and the commitment of every FRTSMDH employee.

To promote health and wellness, the program was followed by an energetic Zumba session led by the Janiuay Zumba Team. The activity is part of the hospital's Diabetes Program and one of the highlights of the Nutrition Month Celebration, encouraging employees to embrace an active lifestyle as an important step toward preventing lifestyle-related diseases and maintaining overall well-being.

The employees of Federico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital gathered this morning for the regular Monday Flag Ceremony, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to public service and the delivery of quality healthcare.

The Panunumpa was led by Mr. Francis Alvin Chan, Administrative Officer V, reminding everyone of their shared responsibility to serve the public with integrity, dedication, and professionalism.

Following the ceremony, Ms. Irene Legayada highlighted the observance of National Infection Prevention Week. She emphasized the importance of proper hand hygiene as one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of infections and reminded all healthcare workers of their vital role in protecting the health and safety of patients, colleagues, and the community.

Ms. Mary Ann P. Agabe, Nutritionist-Dietitian, then shared information about the celebration of Nutrition Month. She encouraged everyone to adopt healthy eating habits and emphasized the importance of protecting the environment, recognizing that it is the source of the food that nourishes us. She also announced that, beginning next week, Zumba sessions will be held after the Monday Flag Ceremony as one of the hospital's activities in support of Nutrition Month, promoting physical fitness and overall wellness among employees.

Committed to continuous learning and professional excellence, the Nursing Service Staff of Federico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital proudly participated in the ANSAP Iloilo Mid-Year Convention 2026 and Clinical Enhancement Update held on June 25, 2026, at Smallville 21 Hotel.

The convention provided an excellent opportunity for our nurses to enhance their clinical knowledge, strengthen their competencies, and stay updated on the latest evidence-based nursing practices. Through insightful lectures, discussions, and the exchange of experiences with fellow healthcare professionals, our participants gained valuable knowledge that will further improve the quality and safety of patient care.
