Jiabong, Samar - A man believed to have committed su***de using a nylon tied around his neck was found dead inside his nipa hut this morning in Brgy. Catalina this municipality.

The victim was identified as Santiago P. Dacles, 58 years old, single and a resident of the said barangay.

Initial investigation revealed, around 4:00 this morning, a farmer happened to pass by his house and called Dacles. When there was no response, he peeked at it to see if anyone was there and saw the victim hanging and not moving.

Around 6:49, after receiving a call from a concerned citizen, operatives of Jiabong Emergency Response Team (JERT) responded to the area and brought the body of Santiago Dacles to the Barangay Covered Court.

Jiabong PNP is now conducting an investigation about the incident.
