🐾 World Rabies Day Awareness | Ward Class

In celebration of World Rabies Day, Jimenez Medicare Community Hospital ABTC Coordinator, Mr. John Brian Macalisang, conducted Rabies Awareness Ward Class to educate our patients and watchers on the importance of rabies prevention and responsible animal care. 🐶🐱

The session highlighted essential information on rabies transmission, prevention, proper wound management after an animal bite, and the importance of seeking immediate medical attention and completing the recommended post-exposure treatment.

Through simple education and awareness, we can help protect our families and community from this preventable but deadly disease.

🩺 Remember: When bitten, wash the wound immediately with soap and running water and seek medical care as soon as possible.

Today, Jimenez Medicare Community Hospital – Animal Bite Treatment Center (JMCH-ABTC) joins the global community in raising awareness about rabies and the importance of prevention. 🐶🐱

Rabies is preventable, treatable when properly managed after exposure, and ultimately beatable. Through awareness, responsible pet ownership, vaccination, and timely medical care, we can protect both people and animals. ❤️

Don’t stop when you feel better—complete your scheduled anti-rabies vaccine doses!

Rabies is a serious and almost always fatal disease once symptoms appear, but it is preventable when proper post-exposure treatment is completed on time.

✅ Completing all prescribed doses helps provide the best possible protection against rabies.
✅ Follow your scheduled vaccination dates as advised by your Animal Bite Treatment Center.
✅ Do not skip or discontinue your doses even if the wound has already healed or you feel well.
✅ If you miss a scheduled dose, contact your Animal Bite Treatment Center as soon as possible for proper advice.

🐶🐱 A bite or scratch should never be taken lightly. Seek medical attention immediately after a possible rabies exposure.
