The Municipal Government of Jose Abad Santos extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Provincial Government of Palawan, spearheaded by Provincial Governor Amy Roa Alvarez, for the generous ₱1,000,000 financial assistance extended to the municipality.

The turnover ceremony was held today, August 25, 2026, at the Office of the Municipal Mayor, marking another meaningful expression of solidarity and compassion for the people of Jose Abad Santos as the municipality continues its recovery and rebuilding efforts.

This generous assistance will help strengthen ongoing local recovery initiatives and provide much-needed support to communities affected by recent disasters.

Bringing national government services closer to the people of South Jose Abad Santos, the Roll Out of National Programs was held on August 21, 2026 at Ignacia A. Guillermo Central Elementary School.

The activity was warmly welcomed by Municipal Mayor Atty. Jason John A. Joyce, together with Hon. Monaliza E. Libron, as national government officials and partner agencies came together to deliver much-needed assistance and services to families affected by the recent disasters.

The LGU Jose Abad Santos welcomed Cabinet Secretary Benhur Abalos, who led the national government delegation, together with:

• Tarhata S. Mapandi – TESDA Regional Director
• Juvy T. Alayon – PCA Regional Director
• Pepito Capampangan – Governing Board Member, Coconut Farmers of Mindanao
• Atty. Maria Mercedes V. Dumagan – DENR Regional Director
• Victor T. Billones – DENR Assistant Regional Executive Director
• Randy H. Halasan – OIC Regional Director, DHSUD
• Paul V. Cruz – DOLE Provincial Director
• Macario D. Gonzaga – DA XI Regional Executive Director

The convergence of these national government agencies reflects the continuing commitment of the national government and the LGU of Jose Abad Santos to ensure that affected families are not left behind in the municipality’s recovery and rehabilitation.

Through the rollout, various government programs, assistance, and frontline services were brought directly to the communities of South JAS—making government support more accessible to families who continue to rebuild their homes, livelihoods, and communities.

For Jose Abad Santos, recovery is not only about rebuilding structures. It is about restoring livelihoods, strengthening communities, and bringing hope closer to every family.
