IN PHOTOS || Under the leadership of FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, Regional Director, BFP Region V, and under the supervision of FSUPT NOLITO F BEARIS, DSC, Provincial Fire Marshal of Albay, the personnel of BFP Jovellar Fire Station, headed by SFO3 Ruth A Ramos, Officer-in-Charge, participated in the Barangay Assembly held at Brgy. Cabraran, Jovellar Albay, to discuss the Bureau of Fire Protection’s programs and initiatives under the Obligasyon sa Bayan, Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP).

During the assembly, the BFP personnel discussed the importance of fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and community participation in ensuring the safety of every household. The discussion highlighted the four major activities under OLP: Community Fire Protection Plan (CFPP), Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG), House-to-House Survey, and Simulation Exercise. These programs aim to strengthen the barangay’s preparedness, identify potential fire hazards, encourage community involvement, and promote proper actions during fire incidents and other emergencies.

Through this initiative, BFP Jovellar Fire Station continues to strengthen its partnership with barangay officials and community members in promoting fire safety awareness, preparedness, and a safer community for everyone.

10 October 2026 | CLEAN AND GREEN DAY

IN PHOTOS || Under the leadership of FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, Regional Director, BFP Region V, and under the supervision of FSUPT NOLITO F BEARIS, DSC, Provincial Fire Marshal of Albay, the personnel of BFP Jovellar Fire Station, headed by SFO3 Ruth A Ramos, Officer-in-Charge, conducted a Saturday Clean and Green Activity as part of the 7 Modes of Daily Activities.

The activity focused on the improvement of the HAPAG(" Halina't Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay") Project within the station premises, which included enhancement of the designated area and the maintenance of the station premises and surrounding areas, promoting a clean, safe, orderly, and conducive working environment for both personnel and the public. This initiative aims to promote sustainability, cleanliness, and the utilization of available space for a productive and healthy environment.

Through teamwork and active participation, the personnel of BFP Jovellar Fire Station continue to strengthen the HAPAG Project while maintaining a clean, green, safe, and orderly station environment.

09 October 2026 | 4 O’CLOCK HABIT: MOSQUITO SEARCH AND DESTROY CAMPAIGN

IN PHOTOS || Under the leadership of FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, Regional Director, BFP Region V, and under the supervision of FSUPT NOLITO F BEARIS, DSC, Provincial Fire Marshal of Albay, the personnel of BFP Jovellar Fire Station, headed by SFO3 Ruth A Ramos, Officer-in-Charge, conducted the Daily 4 O’Clock Habit: Mosquito Search and Destroy Campaign within the station premises and surrounding areas.

The activity aimed to eliminate possible mosquito breeding sites and help prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases in the community.

The personnel also observed the DOH 4Ts—Taob, Taktak, Tuyo, at Takip as part of the campaign against dengue.

09 October 2026 | Fire Safety and Basic First Aid Lecture

The activity was conducted as part of the 7 Modes of Daily Activities under the Fire Safety Awareness Campaign Day, which focuses on community engagement through fire safety lectures and awareness activities. The activity aimed to enhance the fire safety awareness, disaster preparedness, and emergency response capabilities of Grade 5 and Grade 6 learners through practical and life-saving knowledge and skills.

This initiative reaffirms the Bureau’s commitment to fostering a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience within the school community.
