Priority Agricultural Crops 🌱
1. Management of economically important emerging insect pest and diseases
2. Varietal improvement for resistance to emerging insect pests and diseases, and climate change resiliency
3. Ornamentals: Development of new ornamental cultivars (cutflower) that are resistant to economically important diseases through genome editing and marker-assisted selection (MAS)
4. Ornamentals: Develop adequate postharvest facilities to create a satisfactory shelf life for priority cut flowers (orchids, anthurium, chrysanthemum)
Smart Farming 🌳
- Cultural management practices (soil health, nutrient, and water management)
Biodiversity/Tamaraw program 🐃
1. Enhancement of the existing protocol on the inventory of Tamaraw
2. Reproductive studies to enhance reproductive potential
3. Habitat suitability analysis
Biodiversity/Development of biodiversity-based products program
- Assessment and screening of plant/animal resources for the development of biodiversity-based products
Policy Studies 🧐
1. Analysis of the impacts of agro-ecotourism in developing the AANR
2. Analysis of the implementation of grades and standards policies of selected commodities in the AANR
3. Assessment of the implementation of the fisheries code policy in aquaculture in selected lakes in the Philippines
4. Integrating gender on climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies
Technology Transfer 🤝
1. Inclusive Science for Livelihood in Agriculture (ISLA)
2. Green buildings through S&T
