On the morning of ๐๐๐ด๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐ฎ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, the Cotabato Province PPO, headed by Chief Probation and Parole Officer Charito S. Japinan, Ph.D, conducted simultaneous activities through its dedicated staff: the initiation and adoption of the QR Code Attendance System and Mass Random Drug Testing for probationers.

๐๐๐ด๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐ฎ marked the first actual implementation of the ๐ค๐ฅ ๐๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ ๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐ผ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ข. The initiative was inspired by the innovation of Tacurong City PPO and adapted to the operational needs of Cotabato Province PPO, particularly in managing a large and geographically dispersed caseload.
The system modernizes the traditional manual logbook by allowing probationers to simply scan their QR Code ID, ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด from approximately 2โ3 minutes to about ๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฐ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐.

Alongside the QR registration, the office also conducted free mass random drug testing as part of responsible probation supervision.
Random drug testing serves not only as a means of monitoring compliance but also as a tool to promote accountability, self-discipline, rehabilitation, and positive behavioral change among probationers.
