As advocates for workplace inclusion and LGBT+ youth empowerment, the Philippine Financial & Inter-Industry Pride (PFIP) proudly launches its Rainbow Youth Academy, a college educational assistance program. PFIP believes that through education, we can help LGBT+ individuals overcome complex social and economic barriers.

Sen. Ampuan was choosen beneficiaries of the Rainbow Youth Academy and will receive a one-time financial assistance of PHP 20,000 to help with their school requirements. Additionally, our "rainbow scholars" will have access to essential skills training from PFIP leaders, PFIP flagship events and internship opportunities within PFIP or PFIP member companies.

The program commenced last November 2022. Today, marks victory for the scholars as they celebrated their graduation, virtually. Out of 80 applicants, Senate President Mark Rey A. Ampuan landed on the top 12 to be delegates of the program.

Nineteen [19] accredited societies, organization, fraternities and sororities from USM joined Trivia Nights Inter-Society Edition conducted by University Student Government on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at USM Commercial Building.

The said activity aimed to equip students in improving their cognitive skills. Retaining information about topics they're interested in is like an exercise in their mind, allowing them to expand their intelligence and improve mental capabilities. This leads to greater creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills.

โ€œTrivia Nights is important for me because it has created an environment and a community for nerds and thinkers alike. Trivia games can help people especially students since it promotes knowledge and rational thinking. It encourages the habit of fact-checking and precision of information. These are important facets in the academe. Ignorance and misinformation are key issues in our society which may be mitigated by promoting research, encouraging fact-checking and advancing rational thinking.โ€ Atty. DN Abubakar Murray, one of the organizers in the event emphasized.

Congratulations to everyone, especially to all participants who joined and made it โ€” the activity successful. You did it, indeed!

Various performances by bands can be witnessed at Bandsiklab, where each society will showcase its musical talents. Awarding of medals and giving of certificates in various competitions, students' night, and the much-anticipated fireworks display and foam party.
Come and enjoy the prepared festivities in the presence of Kabacan Mayor Evangeline Pascua Guzman and other dignitaries.
