𝐒𝐎𝐗 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐌 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

MAGPET, COTABATO — The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region XII, led by Regional Director Engr. Ibrahim B. Guiapar, Jr., participated in the SOX Tourism Summit 2026, held on September 24, 2026, at Sitio Maupot Resort, Magpet, Cotabato.

The summit served as a meaningful platform to highlight the role of technology, innovation, and digital transformation in strengthening and advancing the tourism industry in SOCCSKSARGEN.

DICT Region XII Regional Director Engr. Ibrahim B. Guiapar, Jr. delivered the message of support, together with Maam Namraida P. Sarangani, DICT Cotabato Provincial Officer. Meanwhile, Engr. Jennifer Torres-Amistad of DICT shared her knowledge and expertise on “Integration of AI in Tourism-Related MSMEs,” highlighting how artificial intelligence can support businesses in improving their operations, marketing, and customer experience.

As part of its support to the event, DICT also provided free internet connectivity and set up an eGovPH booth, giving participants an opportunity to learn more about digital government services.

The summit featured valuable discussions on digital tourism, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and innovative approaches for tourism-related MSMEs. It was an inspiring gathering of industry stakeholders, professionals, and innovators working together to foster digital transformation and sustainable growth in the tourism sector.

🏗️ eLGU Building Permit & Certificate of Occupancy Benchmarking

KABACAN, COTABATO ---- Today, the DICT North Cotabato facilitated the eLGU Building Permit and Certificate of Occupancy Benchmarking between LGU Picawayan and LGU Kabacan.

The activity provided an opportunity for the participating LGUs to share experiences, best practices, and practical insights on the implementation and utilization of the eLGU Building Permit and Certificate of Occupancy modules—supporting more efficient, streamlined, and digitally enabled government services.

As part of the activity, the team also paid a courtesy visit to the Hon. Evangeline Guzman, Municipal Mayor of Kabacan, expressing appreciation for the LGU’s support and commitment to advancing digital governance and improved public service delivery. 🤝

𝐞𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Magpet, Cotabato —— The DICT R12- North Cotabato Province conducted the eLGU V1 BPLS Refresher Training for 17 LGUs of Cotabato at Sitio Maupot Resort, Magpet, Cotabato on September 16-17, 2026.

The training was graced by Cotabato Vice Governor Hon. Rochella Marie “Ella” Taray together with DICT Region 12 Regional Director Engr. Ibrahim B. Guiapar Jr. to deliver their message of support.

The activity was opened by Maam Namraida Sarangani, DICT Cotabato- Provincial Officer, followed by the eLGU Project Overview by Engr. Hannah Grace M. Parcon, eLGU Project Focal of DICT Region XII, to update, reinforce, and upgrade the technical skills and knowledge of all Cotabato LGU personnel in operating, managing, and navigating the Electronic Local Government Unit V1 System.

The training features hands-on sessions on System Administration facilitated by Engr. Jennifer T. Amistad- ISA II, BPLO System Profile Set-Up (BPLO) by Miguel Cabudoy - ISA I, Treasury System Setup by Paolo G. Edzel - ISA I, Working Permit by Kautin Mamalo, eGov Orientation by Fiore Taypin. These sessions aim to refresh participants technical knowledge and strengthen their capacity in managing and configuring the eLGU system for the effective delivery of digital services.

The training was concluded with the Closing Remarks by Engr. Mohadjirin P. Matanog, Chief Technical Operations Division of DICT Region 12.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) North Cotabato Provincial Field Office successfully concluded the 𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐚 held in Kidapawan City, Cotabato.

The graduation ceremony celebrated the dedication, creativity, and achievements of the training participants who successfully completed the program and developed valuable skills in digital graphics design using Canva.

The activity was graced by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨, who delivered the Opening Remarks and encouraged the completers to utilize their newly acquired skills for personal, professional, and livelihood opportunities.

The partner 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, through the OIC PESO Manager, also conveyed a message of support and congratulations to the completers, reaffirming the LGU’s commitment to initiatives that empower its constituents through digital skills and livelihood opportunities.

A total of 𝟏𝟑 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 were formally conferred with their Certificates of Completion, marking their successful completion of the SPARK Technical Training.

Adding to the celebration, four (4) scholars were recognized for their Outstanding Performance and awarded Certificates of Outstanding Performance after successfully acquiring clients and/or generating income while undergoing the training. Their achievement demonstrates how digital skills can be transformed into actual opportunities for livelihood and entrepreneurship.

- Valid ID: Government-issued ID.
- Examination Fee: Php 500.00.
- Birth Certificate: Scanned copy of NSO/PSA Birth Certificate. Married female applicants must include an original and photocopy of their NSO/PSA Marriage Certificate. (If NSO is illegible or a Negative Certification is issued, submit an LCR-authenticated Birth Certificate).
- Transcript of Records (TOR): Scanned Certified True Copy (CTC) authenticated by the school Registrar.
- For Graduating IT Students: Scanned Certificate of Candidacy for Graduation signed by the Dean.
- For Non-IT Degree Holders: Scanned Certificate from your HR Department stating you perform programming/ICT functions, OR a Certificate of Training in Program Logic Formulation (or at least 40 hours in programming/system development from a recognized provider).

📸 ID Picture Specifications
Please provide a soft copy of a passport-sized I.D. picture (4.5cm x 3.5cm) taken within the last three (3) months, strictly following these guidelines:

White background, professional studio shot (no selfies), and strictly formal dress code.

Standard close-up shot (shoulder level up, head and face occupying at least 80% of the picture).

Bare face: No eyeglasses/colored contact lenses, no computer-enhanced features, and a “no-makeup makeup” look. You may smile, but without showing teeth and gums.

Both left and right ears must show, with hair neatly arranged.

Full Name Tag: You must physically hold a handwritten name tag (not computerized) positioned approximately 1” below the chin. It must legibly show your signature over your complete printed name in this format: First Name-Middle Initial-Last Name-Extension Name.
