One of the significant highlights of the 1st Regional Congress of PESOMAP NIR, Inc. was the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected officers for the Term 2026–2028.

The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter of leadership and strengthened commitment to advancing the mission of the Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs) across the Negros Island Region.

PESO KABANKALAN ATTENDS CAPACITY BUILDING & PARTNERS FORUM ON REINTEGRATION

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Kabankalan participated in the Capacity Building & Partners Forum on Reintegration, a one-day multi-agency convergence program focused on strengthening livelihood, innovation, skills development, and agri-enterprise opportunities for returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

The activity brought together various government agencies and partners to strengthen collaboration and enhance support services for returning OFWs.

CONGRATULATIONS, PESO KABANKALAN CITY!

A proud moment for the City of Kabankalan! PESO Kabankalan City has been declared the SEARCH FOR BEST PESO 2026 – Regional Winner for the 1st Class Component City Category during the Regional Congress held at Nature’s Village, Talisay City.

This achievement is even more meaningful as PESO Kabankalan was also a nominee and National Entry in the 2025 Search for Best PESO. This year, the office has once again proven its excellence and dedication by securing the Regional Award and will now represent the region at the National Level.

Present during the awarding was Hon. Benjie Miranda, City Mayor, who personally received the award and showed his continued support for the programs and accomplishments of PESO Kabankalan.

Adding to this wonderful achievement, Atty. Randolf Pensoy announced that PESO Kabankalan City will receive ₱3 MILLION worth of TUPAD Assistance as part of the recognition—an opportunity that will further help provide livelihood and temporary employment assistance to qualified Kabankalanons.

KABANKALAN CITY JOINS JRTF-ELCAC NIR FULL COUNCIL MEETING

The City Government of Kabankalan actively participated in the Joint Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (JRTF-ELCAC) – Negros Island Region (NIR) Full Council/Organization Meeting held on August 20, 2026.

Kabankalan City was represented by Hon. Benjie M. Miranda, City Mayor, demonstrating the City Government’s support for strengthened coordination, collaboration, and the implementation of a whole-of-nation approach in addressing local development and security concerns.

Also representing the City was Dr. Elma B. Bachita, PESO Manager, who participated in the meeting in her capacity as a Community Training and Employment Coordinator (CTEC). The participation of CTECs is encouraged to further strengthen local-level coordination and collaboration and support the objectives of the JRTF-ELCAC NIR.

The meeting, presided over by TESDA Director General and CORDS for NIR Secretary Jose Francisco “Kiko” B. Benitez, included discussions on accomplishment reports, regional development and peace and order updates, identified issues, and the adoption of the 2nd Semester Cluster Plans.

The City Government of Kabankalan remains committed to working alongside national government agencies and stakeholders in promoting peace, development, employment, and inclusive growth for the people of Kabankalan.
