📍 Finding the Lines, Strengthening the Boundaries!

Today, August 25, 2026, the Barangay Boundary Monument Relocation Survey and Validation was conducted at Sitio Asok, Barangay Tabugon, bringing together various stakeholders to help establish and validate the barangay boundary on the ground.

The activity was participated in by representatives from CENRO, Barangay Officials, and IP Representatives, together with the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), City Engineer’s Office (CEO), and City Assessor’s Office.

Through collaborative field validation and technical assessment, the activity supports clearer boundaries, accurate spatial information, and better-informed local planning and governance.

Ecoluminaries 2026: Where Environmental Action Meets Excellence! 🌏💚

The City Government of Kabankalan hosted the External Validation of its entries for the 2026 Ecoluminaries Awards on August 17, 2026, at the SP Conference Room. The activity provided an opportunity to showcase the City’s environmental initiatives and accomplishments before a team of external evaluators from the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) and partner agencies. City Mayor Hon. Benjie M. Miranda graced the activity, underscoring the City’s continued commitment to environmental protection, conservation, and sustainable development.

The TICATO Freshwater Local Conservation Area Management Board gathered today, August 11, 2026, at the SP Session Hall for another round of meaningful discussions, coordination, and collaboration for the protection of our freshwater resources.

With representatives from the TICATO barangays and various partner stakeholders coming together, the meeting provided an avenue to share ideas, address concerns, strengthen partnerships, and align efforts toward the sustainable management of the Local Conservation Area.

📊 Monitoring Matters: Stronger Barangays, Better Projects! 💪🏗️

Effective development starts with effective monitoring! ✔️

Barangay officials from across Kabankalan City gathered today, August 7, 2026, at the SP Session Hall for the City Project Monitoring Committee (CPMC) Capacity Building on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to help ensure that government projects are implemented efficiently, transparently, and for the benefit of every community.

The activity, facilitated by the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), was graced by City Mayor Benjie Miranda, with inspiring messages from Liga ng mga Barangay President Hon. Rico M. Regalia, Eduardo G. Lutao, LGOO VII - DILG Cluster Head, and EnP Susana M. Casalem, City Planning and Development Coordinator.

Participants also gained valuable insights from resource speakers Filiane Rose B. Loquin, LGOO II/OIC–PDMU Chief, and Engr. Joshua M. Gustilo, Engineer II, while CLGOO Mark Angelo Linas led the Action Planning and Commitment Setting, encouraging every barangay to translate learning into action.

Earlier this morning, August 4, 2026, the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) facilitated the SGLG Technical Working Group (TWG) Coordination, Assessment, and Action Planning Meeting at the SP Session Hall, Kabankalan City Hall.

The meeting brought together department heads, assistant department heads, and representatives from concerned offices to strengthen the City's preparedness for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) assessment.

The activity focused on reviewing SGLG indicators, validating documentary requirements, assessing the current status of compliance, identifying gaps, and formulating action plans to ensure that all concerned offices are aligned with the standards of good local governance.

Through collaboration and shared commitment, the City Government of Kabankalan continues to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, efficiency, and responsive public service in its pursuit of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

On July 28-29, 2026, the City Government of Kabankalan, through the City Planning & Development Office and its dedicated Bantay Suba volunteers, conducted a river monitoring and conservation activity to help safeguard the city's waterways.

The two-day activity focused on strengthening environmental stewardship through regular monitoring, promoting river conservation, and encouraging communities to become active partners in protecting freshwater ecosystems.

Every clean river reflects a community that cares. Together, let us continue preserving our rivers today for a cleaner, healthier, and a more resilient Kabankalan tomorrow.

Progress is best measured by the impact it creates in the lives of our people. Today, July 28, 2026, the City Project Monitoring Committee (CPMC) conducted field monitoring activities to ensure that priority infrastructure projects are being implemented efficiently, transparently, and in accordance with quality standards.

The monitoring covered the following ongoing projects:
📍 Construction of the Multi-Purpose Facility for Teachers and Learners in Brgy. Tan-awan
📍 Construction of the Concrete Road along Tan-awan–Colambo Road in Brgy. Oringao
📍 Construction of the Concrete Road along So. Lumboy to Purok Cadlum, traversing Brgys. Oringao and Camingawan

Through regular site inspections and collaborative monitoring, the CPMC reinforces the City Government's commitment to accountability, quality infrastructure, and responsive public service—ensuring that every project delivers lasting benefits to communities.
