On July 3, 2026, a comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) Orientation was successfully conducted. The resource person for the event was Mr. Reyben G. Cantutay, Hospital Administrator of Cauayan District Hospital. The session was attended by 45 DSWD 4Ps Regional Staff, 21 Balik Pagtudlo Volunteers, and 3 LGU Links from the 4Ps program.

Facilitators and activity focal Maybel Niere and Emmalyn Inventor guided participants through essential topics, including the basics of BLS, emergency action principles, and types of life support. Attendees learned vital skills such as performing CPR and responding effectively to choking incidents like on how to perform correctly the back blows, abdominal thrusts, and CPR.

The activity was honored by the presence of Hon. Vice Mayor Divina Gracia S. Miranda and Hon. Mayor Benjie M. Miranda, who expressed their full support for the DSWD frontliners serving the community.

Kabankalan City Hosts Search for 4Ps Exemplary Children 2026

On May 21, 2026, at the City Mall Event Area in Kabankalan City, the much-anticipated Annual Search for 4Ps Exemplary Children was successfully celebrated.

This inspiring event showcased the talents and abilities of twelve outstanding youth aged 8 to 14, who demonstrated excellence in speaking, intelligence, and various skills.

The activity was graced by distinguished guests including POO2 Provincial Link Mr. Raymon M. Posta, SWO III Ma’am Janalyn C. Pugne, Honorable Board Member Ralph Alvarez, Honorable Vice Mayor Divina Gracia S. Miranda, CSWDO Ma’am Cyril D. Ramos, and members of the 4Ps Cluster 2 Technical Working Group.

Special judges from different sectors also lent their expertise: Dr. Saturnino Pabalinas Jr. from DepEd, Ms. Margie Perez of the City Health Office, and Ms. Norma Salditos of the Balik Pagtudlo Program.

This year, the crown of Exemplary Child 2026 was awarded to a talented young girl from Barangay Pinaguinpinan. Congratulations to Rea Marie V. Echevarria for earning this prestigious recognition!

The winners received a sash, trophy, cash prizes, school supplies, and grocery items as tokens of appreciation for their remarkable achievements.

BALIK PAGTUDLO PROGRAM, PADAYON NGA GINA-IMPLEMENTAR SANG CSWDO KAG PANTAWID PAMILYA

KABANKALAN CITY - Sugod sang January tubtob May 2026, padayon ang paghatag sang serbisyo sang aton mga retired senior citizens paagi sa Programa nga Balik Pagtudlo. Kon sa diin, ang aton mga Balik Pagtudlo Volunteers ang isa sa mga Resource Persons sa pag-implementar sang Family Development Session sa mga 4Ps Households kada bulan sa nagkalain-lain nga topiko.

Daku gid ang nabulig sang sini nga programa sa FDS (Family Development Session) tungod sa ila malawig nga eksperiensya sa ila nanday propesyon. Matandaan naton nga ang mga Balik Pagtudlo Volunteers amo ang mga retired teachers, principal, nurses, army, midwife, day care workers, kag iban pa. Tungod sa ila madamu nga eksperiensya, mas nangin epektibo ang mga diskusyon nahanungod sa mga topiko parehas sang Bullying, Child Abuse, Responsible Parenthood, kag Sustaining the Interest of the Child in School.

Kaupod ang mga DSWD Caseworkers ukon City Links, nagapanaog kada bulan sa tagsa ka 32 ka barangay sang Kabankalan ang aton mga Balik Pagtudlo Volunteers para maghatag sang nanari-sari nga topiko sa aton mga Pantawid Households.

Padayon kita sa serbisyo nga may gugma kag kabalaka! 🫰

On May 15, 2026, Brgy. Tagoc came alive with the spirit of education and empowerment during the activity Project GABAY (Guiding Adolescents Toward Better Awareness on Youth Responsibility) - Healthy Young Ones Session held at the Brgy. Tagoc Covered Court.

The activity focused on vital topics such as puberty, reproductive health for adolescents, and the pressing issues of online sexual abuse and exploitation of children. Resource persons Amy Valenciano (CHO) and John Aldrin Mana-ay (DSWD) led the engaging discussions.

The activity was skillfully facilitated by dedicated City Links including Mary Jean Docto, John Blaire Joplo, and Amon Yude, ensuring a supportive environment for open dialogue and learning. Not just a lecture, the activity fostered a sense of awareness and responsibility among the young attendees, empowering them to recognize risks and seek help when needed.

As the community continues to prioritize youth health and safety, Project GABAY stands as a shining example of proactive efforts to secure a brighter, healthier future for our 4Ps children beneficiaries.

On May 14, 2026, Pantawid Children Beneficiaries of Brgy. Tabugon came together at the Tabugon Covered Court for an empowering Youth Development Session and Healthy Young Ones Symposium. Facilitated by Johanna Joy J. Timbad (4Ps City Link), the activity aimed to equip young beneficiaries with crucial knowledge about their health and well-being. With the support of dedicated logistical and technical team members including John Aldrin Y. Mana-ay, Joey Quinco, and Rhie Joy Vargas, the session fostered an engaging environment for learning and growth.

The YDS was enriched by resource persons Amy Valenciano, a nurse from the City Health Office, and Danilo Bantaran, an AHDP Coordinator from CSWDO. Together, they addressed vital topics such as puberty, adolescent pregnancy, HIV/AIDS awareness, and the dangers of illegal drugs. The session specifically targeted 35 Pantawid beneficiaries who are not attending school or are at risk of dropping out, aiming to guide them towards healthier choices and informed decisions.

This activity underscored the community's commitment to nurturing responsible and aware youth. By focusing on critical issues affecting young people today, the session not only provided valuable information but also inspired hope for a healthier, safer future for the young generation of Brgy. Tabugon. Through such initiatives, the community continues to foster resilience and empowerment among its youth.
