𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

The Parole and Probation Administration Kabankalan City in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry conducts a Seminar on Entrepreneurship through the PPA LEAD Program for Kabankalan and Ilog parole and probation clients on May 5–6, 2026 at the Kabankalan Training Center.

The activity aims to provide participants with entrepreneurial knowledge, financial literacy, and practical business skills to help them start sustainable livelihood opportunities. It also seeks to empower parole and probation clients towards self-reliance, productivity, and successful reintegration into society through entrepreneurship and economic development initiatives.

After the seminar, the PPA and DTI will further discuss various government programs and support services that can assist parole and probation clients in starting and developing their livelihood and business ventures.

𝗬𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗣 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘀𝘆𝗼: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗙𝗪𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀

The City Government of Kabankalan, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry, conducted a Seminar on Entrepreneurship and Business Planning for OFWs on May 21, 2026, at the Kabankalan Tourism Hub to enhance participants’ entrepreneurial knowledge and help them explore business opportunities.

During the seminar, the Department of Trade and Industry discussed entrepreneurship development, business planning, and various programs and services that support aspiring and existing entrepreneurs.

Representatives from the Public Employment Service Office also discussed employment opportunities, livelihood assistance, and government programs available for OFWs and their families.

Meanwhile, representatives from PhilHealth presented their programs and services for Overseas Filipino Workers, including the YAKAP Program for OFWs, which provides assistance and support to returning and displaced migrant workers.

𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗦𝗠𝗘𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀

The City Government of Kabankalan in partnership with Department of Trade and Industry and Land Bank of the Philippines successfully conducted the Seminar on Financial Literacy last May 7, 2026 at the Citymall Activity Center, Kabankalan City, Negros Island Region.

The seminar aimed to strengthen financial awareness and promote responsible money management among participants, particularly MSMEs, farmers, and other stakeholders in the community.

Resource speakers from Land Bank of the Philippines and SB Corporation discussed various loan and financing programs available for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), farmers, and other sectors. The discussion highlighted accessible financial assistance, lending opportunities, business recovery programs, and support services designed to help enterprises grow and sustain their operations.

The event aims to provide an overview of available financing programs and services to support individuals and businesses, in line with Executive Order No. 110, which declared a State of National Energy Emergency due to the Middle East conflicts, and adopted the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) to mitigate the socio-economic impact of rising fuel costs.

The City Government of Kabankalan, through the Local Economic and Investment Promotion Office (LEIPO) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), successfully conducted the Seminar on Accounting for Non-Accountants held on April 28–29, 2026 at the Tourism Cultural Hub, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

The seminar was attended by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) who gained valuable knowledge on basic accounting, financial management, and proper record-keeping to strengthen their business operations and decision-making. 📚💼

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with the City Government of Kabankalan through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) – Kabankalan Training Center, successfully conducted an Entrepreneurship Seminar for TESDA Scholars on April 6, 2026, held at the Kabankalan Training Center.

A total of 86 participants attended the activity, composed of TESDA scholars eager to enhance their knowledge and skills in starting and managing their own businesses.

The seminar aims to promote entrepreneurship and consumer education, while also providing practical knowledge on basic business management, financial awareness, and responsible consumer practices. More importantly, the activity seeks to encourage participants to become entrepreneurs, recognizing that the skills they have acquired through their respective training programs can further equip them to venture into business and create sustainable sources of income.

Through this initiative, participants are inspired to become job creators rather than job seekers, fostering self-reliance and contributing to the economic development of the community. 🌱📈
