The BLIS fourth-year students of Southern Christian College visited different types of libraries in Davao City and Samal Island from March 25 to 27, 2026 as part of their educational tour. They were accompanied by their Lpr442 instructor/LIS Program Head Rhodora Mae M. Celestial, RL, MLIS.
This educational tour is part of the BLIS curriculum and serves as a requirement for fourth-year students. It provided aspiring librarians with valuable insights into libraries, museums, and information institutions, helping prepare them for their future careers.

At the National Museum of the Philippines โ Davao, the students explored various exhibits and learned about the history, culture, and heritage of Davao and Mindanao.

The students visited the City Library & Information Center of Davao City where they were warmly welcomed by the staff and city librarian. They toured the library and learned about the services and resources provided to the public.

The students also visited Samal Island City College where they were welcomed by the Head Librarian, Dr. Sandra Lyn Quinones, and had the opportunity to observe their library facilities.
