At the Aklan District Jail โ€“ Male Dormitory, livelihood programs provide PDLs with opportunities to develop skills, build self-reliance, and engage in meaningful and productive activities through nito handicrafts, parol making, molding figurines, agriculture, and other livelihood initiatives.

More than livelihood, these programs promote dignity, discipline, creativity, and hope, helping prepare PDL for a productive life beyond the walls.

COURTESY VISIT TO THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNOR OF AKLAN

The Aklan District Jail - Male Dormitory, led by JINSP ERICSON L MENDOZA, Acting Warden, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Jose Enrique M. Miraflores, Provincial Governor of Aklan.

The courtesy visit served as an opportunity to formally introduce the newly designated Acting Warden and to strengthen the partnership and coordination between the bureau and the Provincial Government of Aklan.

The activity likewise emphasized the importance of strong inter-agency collaboration and shared commitment in addressing the needs of the jail facility and supporting the effective delivery of humane custodial and rehabilitation services.
