𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗜𝗩 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 🛡️

The Provincial Health Office successfully convened stakeholders for the Law Enforcement and Legal Sector Training on the Creation of the Provincial HIV Redress Mechanism held on May 28–29, 2026 at Nenette’s Garden, Kalibo, Aklan.

Representatives from the legal, social welfare, law enforcement, health sectors, and community-based organizations (CBOs) gathered to strengthen collaboration and support the establishment of a Provincial HIV Redress Mechanism to address HIV-related complaints, discrimination, stigma, and rights violations in accordance with Republic Act No. 11166.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants, as well as our resource speakers from IDEALS, Inc. and the DOH WV CHD, for their valuable contributions to this important initiative.

Together, we continue to work towards a more inclusive, supportive, and rights-based response to HIV in Aklan.

🚑✨ 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗸𝗹𝗮𝗻!

The newly acquired ambulance of Malay Municipal Hospital was recently blessed, marking an important step in improving emergency medical response and patient transport services for the people in the northern part of Aklan.

The blessing ceremony was attended by Governor Jose Enrique Miraflores and Hospital Chief Dr. Jeneth Japitana, together with PHO, healthcare workers, and stakeholders who continue to support the advancement of quality healthcare services in the province.

This new ambulance reflects our shared commitment to ensuring timely, accessible, and life-saving healthcare for every Aklanon.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 🏥🤝

The Provincial Health Office convened a Coordination Meeting with the Local Finance Team on May 28, 2026, at the PHO Conference Room to strengthen collaboration among government hospitals and partner offices.

The meeting focused on budget planning, fund allocation, financial adjustments, and hospital expenditure management to ensure efficient hospital operations and the continuous delivery of quality healthcare services to the people of Aklan.

Representatives from the Provincial Accountant’s Office (PACCO), Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO), Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO), Provincial Budget Office (PBO), and Aklan government hospitals participated in the activity, highlighting the value of teamwork, transparency, and shared commitment in building a more responsive and sustainable public healthcare system for every Aklanon. 💙

The Province of Aklan, through the Provincial Health Office, in partnership with IDEALS, Inc. and DOH Western Visayas Center for Health Development, successfully conducted the “Know Your Rights: Legal Literacy Training on Republic Act No. 11166” last May 26–27, 2026 at Ati-atihan Festival Hotel, Kalibo, Aklan.

Members of community-based organizations from across the province actively participated in the activity, strengthening their understanding of HIV and AIDS policies, human rights, confidentiality, and access to services.

Through strengthened awareness and collaboration, the activity supports the shared goal of building a more informed, compassionate, and stigma-free Aklan where every individual is treated with dignity and respect. ✨

This initiative reflects Aklan’s commitment to building a more connected, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare system through digital transformation. What begins in Aklan today carries the vision of creating a stronger and more interoperable health information system for communities across the country in the years ahead.

The Provincial Health Office, in partnership with the Provincial Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), successfully conducted an Orientation on Modernized PhilGEPS Access for personnel from Aklan Provincial Government hospitals.

The activity aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of standardized public procurement procedures and strengthen their knowledge in using the modernized PhilGEPS platform.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to our Resource Speakers from Provincial BAC-Aklan for sharing their valuable insights and expertise, which greatly contributed to the success of the orientation.

Together, we continue to uphold transparency, efficiency, and quality public service.

The Provincial Health Office, together with the Provincial DOH Office and Aklan MBFHFI Trainers, successfully conducted the MBFHFI Pre-Assessment at Don Leovigildo N. Diapo Sr. Municipal Hospital last May 7, 2026.

Healthcare workers received hands-on coaching on policy improvement, proper documentation, mock interviews, newborn care, and cup feeding to further strengthen safe and quality maternal and child care services.

Through collaboration and continuous capacity building, we move closer to creating a safer, more mother-and-baby-friendly healthcare environment for every Aklanon family. 💕👶

💉📋 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐤𝐥𝐚𝐧!

The Provincial Health Office of Aklan successfully conducted the “Microplanning Workshop for the National Immunization Program (NIP)” last May 25–26, 2026 at Marzon Hotel, Kalibo, Aklan.

The two-day activity aimed to capacitate Municipal Health Officers (MHOs) and NIP Coordinators on effective microplanning strategies for the National Immunization Program, improve the conduct of catch-up and outreach immunization activities, and ultimately enhance immunization coverage across all municipalities in the province.

The workshop was facilitated by the Provincial Health Office in collaboration with the Department of Health Center for Health Development – Western Visayas, in partnership with Dr. Namrata Bhatta of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Participants actively engaged in workshop sessions focused on developing and refining LGU-specific microplans to strengthen routine immunization services and prepare for upcoming supplemental immunization activities.

Together, we continue to work towards protecting every Aklanon child through safe, accessible, and effective immunization services. 💙💪
