The Ibajay Barangay Secretaries Association successfully conducted its 5th Monthly Meeting held at the Barangay Poblacion Hall on May 28, 2028. Spearhead by MLGOO Katrina A. Muyuela, The meeting served as an important venue for discussion, coordination, and strengthening collaboration among barangay secretaries in addressing current administrative and community concerns.
The following matters were thoroughly discussed during the meeting:
1. PNP Concerns
Updates and concerns from the Philippine National Police were presented, focusing on peace and order, community safety, and the importance of continuous coordination between barangay officials and law enforcement agencies to maintain a secure and orderly community.
2. DILG Concerns
Matters and reminders from the Department of the Interior and Local Government were discussed, including compliance with barangay policies, submission of reports, and the implementation of programs and directives aimed at improving local governance and public service delivery.
3. RBIs and Information Management System of Barangay
The association discussed the importance of maintaining updated and accurate Residents Basic Information (RBI) records and strengthening the Barangay Information Management System to ensure efficient data gathering, proper record keeping, and improved delivery of services to constituents.
4. Other Matters
Additional concerns, updates, and recommendations relevant to barangay administration and operations were also tackled to further enhance coordination, productivity, and public service among barangay secretaries.
The meeting concluded with renewed commitment, cooperation, and dedication among members in promoting effective barangay governance and responsive public service for the community.
