🤝✨VALUES RESTORATION PROGRAM | COOPERATION IN ACTION✨🤝

One team. One mission. One goal.💙

Nine (9) personnel of this jail unit actively participated in the Values Restoration Program, focusing on the value of “Cooperation.”

👮‍♀️The discussion was facilitated by JO1 Wanda Luna T Tolores, who emphasized that cooperation among jail officers is essential in maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly environment. By working together, personnel can effectively prevent incidents, manage Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), and respond swiftly to emergencies.

She further highlighted that strong cooperation helps:
🤝Strengthen teamwork and unity
🛡️Ensure safety and security داخل the facility
⚡Improve response to challenges and emergencies
💙Promote a more positive and rehabilitative environment for PDLs

Nourishment shared is care extended.💚

The Aklan District Jail – Female Dormitory, under the leadership of JSINSP NOVELLA C YBAÑEZ, Acting Warden, gratefully acknowledges the generous donation of fresh lettuce (estimated 2 kilos worth ₱400) from the Department of Agriculture Philippines, headed by Mr. Soviet Dela Cruz.

🤝The donation was received by SJO2 Redeemer Von U. Martinez, and will greatly contribute to the nutritional needs and well-being of the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

Four (4) personnel of this jail unit, together with two (2) NVC Criminology Interns, actively participated in the Values Restoration Program highlighting the value of “Docility.”

👮‍♂️The discussion was led by SJO2 Redeemer Von U. Martinez, Unit Values Restoration Officer, who emphasized that in a jail environment, strict adherence to rules, procedures, and proper guidance is essential in maintaining order and security.

He further explained that docility—being receptive to instructions and open to learning—helps jail officers work in unity, ensuring smooth coordination, discipline, and efficiency in carrying out duties, especially in high-pressure situations.

💬JO1 Jeannette F. Visto added that docility also means having the eagerness to learn, willingness to be taught, and openness to new knowledge—all vital for personal growth and continuous self-improvement.

⚖️✨VALUES RESTORATION PROGRAM | CIRCUMSPECTION & TACT IN SERVICE✨⚖️

Stay calm. Think wisely. Act responsibly.

Eight (8) personnel of this jail unit, together with six (6) ASU and two (2) NVC Criminology Interns, attentively participated in the Values Restoration Program with the value focus for the week “Circumspection/Tact.”

👮‍♂️The discussion was led by SJO2 Redeemer Von U. Martinez, Unit Values Restoration Officer, who emphasized that one of the mandates of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology is the safekeeping of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs)—ensuring their security, welfare, and prevention from further criminal activity while under custody.

He explained that situations such as misunderstandings, heated arguments, or conflicts among PDLs may sometimes arise. In these moments, the values of circumspection and tact become essential. Jail officers must remain calm, observant, and strategic, carefully assessing situations before intervening to safely de-escalate conflicts while protecting colleagues and other PDLs.

💬JO1 Ellyne T. Timbas further elaborated that circumspection is about being careful and thoughtful in every decision and action, recognizing that the consequences of our choices do not only affect ourselves but also the people around us.

💠✨VALUES RESTORATION PROGRAM | DIGNITY IN SERVICE✨💠

Respect for humanity. Compassion in duty. Restoration of dignity. 🤝

Seven (7) personnel of this jail unit, one (1) personnel from PJAO–Aklan, and two (2) NVC Criminology Interns attentively participated in the Values Restoration Program with the value focus for the week: “Dignity.”

👮‍♂️The discussion was led by JO1 Gomer Cortez, who emphasized that human life is sacred and every person possesses inherent dignity. He highlighted that Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), despite their incarceration due to violations of the law, remain human beings who deserve respect, humane treatment, and opportunities for transformation.

He further explained that the Bureau’s mandate goes beyond safekeeping—it also focuses on rehabilitation, helping PDLs regain the dignity that may have been lost or tarnished and preparing them for successful reintegration into society as responsible and law-abiding citizens.

💬SJO2 Redeemer Von U. Martinez, Unit Values Restoration Officer, added that dignity is the very quality that defines us as human beings. It entitles every person to be treated with respect, fairness, and honor, regardless of status—including the PDLs under our care.
