The personnel of Kalibo Fire Station deployed an FAST Team during the Lumina Fun Run to provide medical assistance and ensure the safety and well-being of the event participants.

This deployment was conducted under the supervision of FSINSP DELSIE S DE BORJA, Municipal Fire Marshal, and the guidance of FCSUPT WILBERTO RICO NEIL A KWAN TIU, Officer-in-Charge, Bureau of Fire Protection, and FCSUPT EDWIN P VARGAS, DSC, Regional Director, BFP Region 6.

SIMULATION EXERCISE

The personnel of Kalibo Fire Station conducted a Simulation Exercise on Heatstroke to enhance their preparedness and response capabilities in managing heat-related emergencies. The activity focused on the proper recognition of heatstroke signs and symptoms, the application of appropriate first aid measures, and the implementation of timely emergency response procedures.

The simulation exercise aimed to strengthen the personnel’s knowledge, skills, and coordination in responding to heatstroke cases, ensuring the prompt delivery of appropriate emergency medical assistance and the prevention of further complications.

This activity was conducted under the supervision of FSINSP DELSIE S DE BORJA, Municipal Fire Marshal, and under the guidance of FCSUPT WILBERTO RICO NEIL A KWAN TIU, Officer-in-Charge, Bureau of Fire Protection, and FCSUPT EDWIN P VARGAS, DSC, Regional Director, BFP Region 6.

Estancia, Kalibo, Aklan, as part of the station's continuing efforts to promote fire safety awareness within the community.

The activity aimed to remind residents to remain vigilant against potential fire hazards and educate them on the proper actions to take in the event of a fire emergency. Through clear and accessible audio broadcasts, essential fire safety reminders were effectively delivered to the community, helping increase public awareness and preparedness.

This initiative serves as an alternative to the traditional 𝘙𝘦𝘬𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘢, enabling the fire station to reach more residents efficiently while strengthening the dissemination of fire safety information and encouraging a culture of prevention.

The personnel of Kalibo Fire Station, under the supervision of FSINSP DELSIE S DE BORJA, Municipal Fire Marshal, and under the guidance of FCSUPT WILBERTO RICO NEIL A KWAN TIU, Officer-in-Charge, Bureau of Fire Protection, and FCSUPT EDWIN P VARGAS, DSC, Regional Director, BFP Region 6, conducted a Daily Skills Refresher focusing on Fire Truck Familiarization.

The activity provided personnel with an opportunity to review and strengthen their knowledge of the fire truck, including the proper identification, location, and function of its equipment, tools, and essential components. It also reinforced readiness in the proper and efficient use of firefighting apparatus during emergency response operations.

Regular skills refreshers help ensure that personnel remain familiar with their equipment and prepared to respond safely, efficiently, and effectively when duty calls.

The personnel of Kalibo Fire Station, under the leadership of FSINSP DELSIE S DE BORJA, Municipal Fire Marshal, conducted a Public Fire Education under the Safe School Initiative program of BFP, involving Exit Drill In The Home (E.D.I.T.H.) and Distribution of fire safety leaflets at Aklan Polytechnic College.

To instill early fire safety awareness and promote emergency preparedness among students and school personnel by equipping them with basic evacuation knowledge through the Exit Drill In The Home (E.D.I.T.H.) framework under the Bureau of Fire Protection's (BFP) Safe School Initiative.

Implemented under the guidance of FCSUPT WILBERTO RICO NEIL A KWAN TIU, Bureau of Fire Protection Officer-in-Charge, and FCSUPT EDWIN P VARGAS, DSC, Regional Director, BFP Region 6.
