RNHS Empowers Aspiring Journalism Coaches Through Specialized Training Workshop

Rizal National High School took a bold step in strengthening campus journalism by hosting a Training Workshop for aspiring Journalism coaches, attended by passionate educators from across the faculty.
The event featured notable Journalism Coaches from Kananga National High School, Mrs. Katrina Jane Costillas, Mrs. Delfina B. Leron, Mrs. Analyn Singcol, and Mr. Benjie F. Andriano, who served as resource speakers. They shared practical strategies and deep insights across journalism categories such as news & sports news writing, editorial column writing, feature, photojournalism, copy reading and headline writing, and radio broadcasting. One recurring theme from their sessions emphasized that coaching in journalism demands consistent effort, practice, and genuine interest, without which, the work can feel exhausting rather than empowering.
Equally commendable were the RNHS educators who embraced the challenge of learning new skills and stepping into new roles, not for promotion, but for purpose. Their receptiveness and active engagement reflected a shared commitment to student development and institutional excellence.
The workshop concluded with renewed enthusiasm and a collective sense of mission, proving that at RNHS, growth is pursued not out of obligation, but out of heart.
