HONORING EVERY KAWANI, CELEBRATING EVERY LINGKOD BAYANI.

The 93rd Infantry “Bantay Kapayapaan” Battalion joined the Flag-Raising Ceremony at Plaza Rizal, Hilongos, Leyte, on September 7, 2026, in celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.

With the theme, “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing para sa Bayan,” the activity honored the dedication, integrity, and excellence of government workers in serving the Filipino people.

On behalf of LTC CELESTE FRANK L SAYSON INF (GSC) PA, Battalion Commander of the 93IB, MAJ RONAN L. SALARDA (INF) PA, the Battalion Executive Officer, attended the said activity, alongside Hon. Manuel R. Villahermosa, Municipal Mayor of Hilongos, other officials and representatives of the LGU and partner institutions.

IN PHOTOS | 93IB JOINS THE NATIONWIDE OBSERVANCE OF MARITIME AND ARCHIPELAGIC NATION AWARENESS MONTH 2026.

The 93rd Infantry “Bantay Kapayapaan” Battalion joined the nationwide simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony in observance of the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA) 2026.

Spearheaded by LTC CELESTE FRANK L. SAYSON INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 93IB, the activity underscored the importance of strengthening maritime consciousness and deepening every Filipino’s appreciation of the Philippines as a proud maritime and archipelagic nation.

The observance also served as a meaningful reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold national sovereignty, protect our maritime heritage, and safeguard the vast resources and territories entrusted to our nation.

During the activity, LTC SAYSON personally gave the following awards: Parangal sa Kapanalig ng Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas, Military Civic Action Medal, and Military Merit Medal, and congratulated the deserving awardees for their exemplary performance and dedicated service. He reminded the troops to remain steadfast in pursuing the battalion's vision and mission, guided by patriotism, professionalism, vigilance, and an unwavering commitment to duty.

As guardians of peace and defenders of the people, the men and women of the 93rd Infantry Battalion remain united in their commitment to serve the nation and protect the interests of the Filipino people.

The 93rd Infantry “Bantay Kapayapaan” Battalion, led by LTC CELESTE FRANK L SAYSON INF (GSC) PA, officially brought the heat for the Bangiitan Warriors’ Day and Night Celebration on September 1, 2026!

Here is how the day went down:

• Battle of the Moves: Each company traded their boots for the dance floor with high-energy performances.
• Live Jam: The Defender Band kept the crowd rockin’ all night long!

“Lider Ngayon, Lingkod Habambuhay”

Saint Bernard, Southern Leyte – August 29 to 30, 2026 – The 93rd Infantry “Bantay Kapayapaan” Battalion, in collaboration to conduct the Youth Leadership Summit in Saint Bernard, Southern Leyte with a theme “Lider Ngayon, Lingkod Habambuhay” held at Eden and Edith Resort in Hinundayan. The two-days activity, brought together young leaders from the community to engage in meaningful discussions, workshops, and activities aimed at fostering effective leadership, national security awareness, and community resilience.

Highlights of the summit included engaging talks from speakers such as LTC CELESTE FRANK L SAYSON INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of the 93rd Infantry Battalion, who emphasized the importance of national security, deceptive recruitment of Counter Terrorist Groups and Patriotism. Dr. Gary D. Garcia, Department Head of BSED at SLSU-San Juan, shared insights on effective leadership, while Dr. Karen Villanueva-Adaro addressed mental health and HIV awareness.

Additionally, Mr. King Edward M. Anduyan, MADAC Focal Person and Municipal Sanitary Inspector, discussed anti-drug campaigns, and PCpl Irish S. Andoy tackled issues related to VAWC, bullying, and violent extremism. Ms. Bernadette Joy L. Esquijo, Municipal Social Welfare Assistant, highlighted children's rights, and Dr. Rosielyn Colobao from DOH discussed gender and development topics. Mr. Rosauro Chan, MDRRMO Staff, concluded with a session on basic life support.

The summit culminated with a physical activity that fostered unity among participants, strengthening their character as future leaders committed to community service and development. This event exemplifies the collaborative effort to empower the youth and promote a safer, more aware, and resilient community in Southern Leyte.

The 93IB Battalion Commander gives lectures on National Security to SLSU first-year students and pays a courtesy call to the SLSU President

Southern Leyte State University, August 27, 2026—LTC CELSTE FRANK L. SAYSON INF (GSC) PA, commanding officer of the 93rd Infantry Battalion, paid a courtesy call to Dr. Jude A. Duarte, President of Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), and Dr. Eeazar E. Labata, Head of ROTC-NSTP, as the New Commandant of the University's ROTC Unit. Following the courtesy call, LTC SAYSON talked with the ROTC cadets during a commandant's time.

Additionally, LTC SAYSON gave a talk on national security and stressed the need for faculty and students to be vigilant and aware of the strategies the CTG uses to recruit unintentionally. He emphasized that in order to address terror grooming, the military and academic institutions must work together.

LTC SAYSON reaffirmed the commitment of the 93rd IB to protect the community and support the educational sector in fostering a safe and informed environment.

93rd Battalion Participates in "Dugtong Buhay" Bloodletting Activity

Tacloban City, August 27, 2026 — The 93rd Infantry Battalion Task Group Defender actively participated in the Dugtong Buhay Blood Donation Project 2026 in partnership with Philippine Red Cross Leyte Chapter and 99.1 IFM Radio Mindanao Network held at Robinsons North Tacloban. The activity aimed to promote community health and support blood donation initiatives.

The said activity was participated by Five (5) CAA personnel from Task Group Defender, Delta Company, 93IB, PNP, BFP, and various partner agencies that extended their support to ensure the success of the bloodletting drive.

The 93rd Battalion remains committed to serving the community and fostering partnerships that promote health and well-being.
