LIBULONGAN TO KABATAN-ONAN โ
A safe space begins!
A significant milestone for youth development was achieved through the establishment of the Libulongan to Kabatan-onan (Facility-Based Teen Tambayan) located at 2nd Floor RHU Building, which successfully garnered a LEVEL 1 assessment. This is a meaningful step and strong testament to the municipalityโs commitment to providing a safe, youth-friendly, and empowering space for adolescents.
The assessment was conducted by the Provincial Evaluation Team led by Population Devt. Division Head Flor B. Lucas III, RN, Population Program Officer III Jay Matuguina, RN, Provincial Adolescent Health Program Coordinator Christy Carole B. Sanico, RGC, PHO-AHYDP Staff Khadidja Papacan, LPT and Nelchie Marie Legaspi. Their invaluable technical support, constructive feedback, insightful comments, and recommendations greatly contributed to the successful assessment and further enhancement of the facility and its programs for the youth.
During the post-assessment conference, Hon. Mayor Jonnie A. Libayao, together with Hon. SB Member and Committee Chair on Health Lovely Brexel S. Delos Reyes, expressed full support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of strengthening programs that promote adolescent welfare and development. Their unwavering commitment continues to play a vital role in ensuring the sustainability and success of youth-centered initiatives in the municipality.
The successful establishment of the Teen Tambayan was made possible through the dedication and initiative of Elmer D. Fernandez, AO V/Population Program Officer-Designate, whose commitment to advancing adolescent and youth development became instrumental in turning this vision into reality.
