Despite ongoing austerity measures and the national energy crisis, the implementation of Gender and Development (GAD) must continue to ensure protection and inclusive services for all, especially women and vulnerable sectors.

This serves as a reminder that GAD Programs and Projects (PPAs) should not be halted even during periods of austerity. This means that the following must continue:
โ Protection of the rights and welfare of women
โ Gender-responsive governance
โ Support for vulnerable and marginalized sectors
โ Proper and responsible utilization of GAD funds
๐ ๐ช๐๐ฌ ๐๐ฆ ๐ง๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ข๐ฅ๐ง๐๐ก๐ง?
The energy crisis and austerity measures do not affect everyone equally. More affected are:
โ Women who carry increased unpaid care work
โ Communities with limited mobility and access to services
โ Sectors at higher risk of gender-based violence
โ Families that are economically and socially vulnerable
๐ก ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฅ:
GAD is not optional. It must continue even during times of crisis to protect the most vulnerable and ensure inclusive governance.
