๐๐๐๐ | The Benguet Provincial Local Governance Resource Center (BP-LGRC) or โ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ค๐๐ฃโ Multi-Stakeholders Advisory Council (MSAC) convened for its 3rd Quarter Meeting on August 4, 2026, to advance knowledge management, strengthen local governance, and foster multi-sectoral collaboration in the Province of Benguet.
One of the meeting's key highlights was the presentation of the proposed Provincial Research Agenda Workshop by LGOO II Patrick B. Tekwaban. The initiative seeks to identify priority local governance research areas, guide future studies, generate evidence-based policy recommendations, and support informed planning and decision-making across the province.
The Council members also tackled priority programs and emerging concerns affecting local governance. LGOO V Danilo E. Azarcon Jr. presented the implementation of โBenguet PULSEโ, highlighting its proactive approach to local governance assessments and its role in supporting timely performance monitoring and data-driven decision-making among local government units.
Mr. Azarcon also presented the upcoming "CHAMPION ang KABATAAN sa BENGUET: Provincial Youth Anti-Drug Symposium," set on September 3, 2026. The symposium will bring together partner National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), including the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) BaguioโBenguet Provincial Office, Benguet Police Provincial Office (BPPO), Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Benguet, and CSO partner, the National Chaplaincy of the Philippines โ Benguet Chapter, to discuss youth leadership, character development, anti-drug advocacy, and community-based interventions.
The meeting also provided updates on ongoing BP-LGRC initiatives and other collaborative efforts, reaffirming the Council's commitment to strengthening partnerships and advancing responsive, evidence-based, and sustainable local governance in Benguet.
