Based on the DOST-PAGASA 24-Hour Public Weather Forecast issued at 4:00 AM, August 18, 2026, the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect parts of the country, while Mindanao may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
For Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, residents are advised to remain alert and prepared, especially during the occurrence of severe thunderstorms.
Possible Hazards:
• Flash floods in low-lying and flood-prone areas
• Rain-induced landslides in landslide-prone areas
• Strong winds and lightning during thunderstorms
• Reduced visibility and slippery roads
