One cannot stress how vital fire rescue and skill development are to saving lives, safeguarding property, and guaranteeing first responders' safety.

Extinguishing flames is only one aspect of fire rescue; other intricate tasks include search and rescue, emergency medical response, handling hazardous materials, and disaster management.

Kapatagan FS Personnel conducted Fire Safety Lecture and Drill at Kapatagan Provincial Hospital, headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟑 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐙 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚 Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, under the supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝐁 𝐁𝐀𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄, Provincial Fire Marshal , Lanao del Norte with the guidance of the 𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋 𝐂 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐎, Regional Director-BFP 10.

Each of these fields requires not only bravery and self-control but also a high degree of technical proficiency and the ability to make calm decisions under duress.

Emergency Responder Unit training and simulation exercises are vital for ensuring that personnel are fully prepared to act effectively in high-stress, unpredictable situations.

Training also plays a critical role in identifying gaps in communication, equipment readiness, and procedural weaknesses before an actual crisis occurs. It allows agencies to test their emergency response plans, evaluate inter-agency collaboration, and adapt to new technologies or threats.

Kapatagan FS Personnel facilitated at the 7th ERU and 3rd BBB Municipal Congress 2025 : BUCKET RELAY AND FIRE FIGHTING OPERATION at Kapatagan Municipal Ground, headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟑 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐙 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚 Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, under the supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝐁 𝐁𝐀𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄, Provincial Fire Marshal , Lanao del Norte with the guidance of the 𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋 𝐂 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐎, Regional Director-BFP 10.

Moreover, regular simulation drills help build muscle memory, boost confidence, and reduce hesitation, which can make a critical difference during a real emergency.

The local government unit's efforts and initiative for this program were much appreciated by Kapatagan Fire Station. For letting the agency share and impart knowledge and skills to the Emergency Responder Unit.

For the people, it promotes physical fitness and encourages a healthy lifestyle by engaging them in an enjoyable form of exercise. Participating in a fun run can also improve mental well-being, as physical activity is known to reduce stress and enhance mood.

Kapatagan FS Personnel participated the Fun Run at Kapatagan National High School, headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟑 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐙 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚 Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, under the supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝐁 𝐁𝐀𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄, Provincial Fire Marshal , Lanao del Norte with the guidance of the 𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋 𝐂 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐎, Regional Director-BFP 10.

Kapatagan FS Personnel attended the Monday flag raising convocation at Kapatagan Municipal Ground, headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟑 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐙 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚 Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, under the supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝐁 𝐁𝐀𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄, Provincial Fire Marshal , Lanao del Norte with the guidance of the 𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋 𝐂 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐎, Regional Director-BFP 10.

The municipality marks its anniversary around early July with a variety of community-centered activities. In 2025, the town commemorated its 76th Araw ng Kapatagan, hosting a week-long series of events including:

Tree‑growing drives
Sports tournaments (basketball, lawn tennis, beach volleyball)
Pageants (Binibing Kapatagan).
