The Barangay Local Government Unit of Libertad (BLGU Libertad), together with the Purok Presidents, actively participated in the Waste Analysis & Characterization Study (WACS): Integrating Utilization of Waste-to-Energy and Community Disaster Risk Reduction Seminar held on August 18–19, 2026 at Demiren Hotel, Tiano Brothers, Cagayan de Oro City.

The seminar aims to strengthen the knowledge and capacity of barangay leaders and community representatives on proper waste analysis, waste management, waste-to-energy utilization, and disaster risk reduction.

The Barangay Local Government Unit of Libertad successfully conducted an Information, Education Campaign(IEC) on Solid Waste Management, emphasizing the importance of proper waste segregation and responsible garbage disposal in every household. β™»οΈπŸŒΏ

The activity was proposed by the Committee Chairman on Environmental Protection, Hon. Mateo R. Benitez Sr., and was fully approved and supported by the Barangay Officials headed by Punong Barangay Mervin V. Roble.

The Barangay Local Government Unit of Libertad proudly announces the successful procurement of its brand-new Toyota GL Grandia 2.8 Diesel (Manual Transmission), funded through the GNPower Kauswagan Ltd. Co. Energy Regulations No. 1-94 (ER 1-94) – Resettlement, Welfare and Multi-Purpose Health, Education Enhancement Fund (RWMHEEF).

This newly acquired service vehicle marks another significant step in strengthening the barangay’s capacity to deliver efficient, reliable, and responsive public service. It will be utilized for emergency response operations, disaster risk reduction and management, health and social welfare services, official government functions, and various community development activities, ensuring that essential services reach every resident of Barangay Libertad promptly and effectively.

The Barangay Council extends its heartfelt gratitude to GNPower Kauswagan Ltd. Co. for its continued partnership and unwavering support in empowering host communities through the ER 1-94 RWMHEEF Program.
