In line with Memorandum Circular No. 116, to provide government employees full opportunity to properly observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, DTI Cavite Provincial Office shall implement (a) temporary work from home arrangement on 01 April 2026 (Wednesday) from 8:00am to 12:00nn and (b) suspension of work in government offices from 12nn in the afternoon onwards.
During this period, the Office shall continue to attend to urgent concerns and online transactions through its official communication channels.
The public is advised to plan their transactions accordingly. Regular office operations will resume on April 06, 2026 (Monday).

On March 26, 2026, DTI Cavite, led by Acting Provincial Director Lilibeth R. Chavez and OIC BDD Chief Julita C. Salvacion, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga, Congressman of the 4th District of Cavite, to present DTI’s accomplishments and its ongoing programs and services as well as issues/concerns/recommendations the Congressman may have regarding DTI programs and services.
The discussion also covered the current issue of rising oil prices and its impact on the cost of goods and services. DTI’s efforts in monitoring basic necessities and prime commodities to ensure fair pricing and protect consumers were also discussed.
Ms. Isabel Punzalan, President of the Food Processors Association of Cavite was also present during the meeting and shared key concerns of local food processors, particularly the effect of rising production costs.
The meeting provided an opportunity to raise these concerns and seek possible support to strengthen Cavite’s food processing sector.

In celebration of National Women’s Month 2026, DTI Cavite conducted a series of Gender and Development (GAD) activities on March 26, 2026.
A Seminar on Gender-Fair Language and Communication was held via Zoom for DTI Cavite employees, with Resource Speaker Mr. Ariel R. Rivera, Senior GAD Specialist from the Philippine Commission on Women. The session emphasized the importance of inclusive and respectful communication in fostering an equitable workplace.
A GAD-themed photobooth was also set up to promote gender equality among clients and employees.
The celebration concluded with a Zumba session, “Step Up for Equality: Zumba for Every Body,” promoting wellness, unity, and inclusivity.
Through these initiatives, DTI Cavite continues to uphold its commitment to advancing gender equality and fostering an inclusive community.

𝐃𝐓𝐈 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞

DTI Cavite, represented by Negosyo Center Researcher Mr. John Carlo Tahimic, participated in the Cavite Service Caravan held on March 24, 2026, in Ternate, Cavite.

The caravan brought together various government agencies to deliver essential services directly to the community. These include medical and dental consultations, job placement and employment assistance, livelihood and skills training support, legal consultations, and various social welfare programs.

As part of its participation, DTI Cavite provided business consultation, information dissemination, and Business Name Registration services to local residents and aspiring entrepreneurs, helping improve access to business support and opportunities.

By bringing these services closer to the people, the program significantly reduces the need for residents to travel far, saving both time and resources.

DTI Cavite participated in a webinar facilitated by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) for newly established cooperatives in CALABARZON held last March 25, 2026 via Zoom Application.

During the activity, NC TIDS Ms. Allen Jay Sablayan discussed the importance of developing an entrepreneurial mindset to help cooperatives identify opportunities and overcome challenges. This was followed by TMC NC Business Counselor Ms. Marisol Negrosa, who presented DTI’s programs and services to enhance awareness of the support available to cooperative representatives.

The webinar aimed to equip participants with the right mindset and knowledge to strengthen their operations and improve sustainability. Through its active participation, DTI Cavite continues to empower cooperatives by promoting entrepreneurship and increasing access to government programs and services.

The International Trade Centre (ITC), in partnership with DTI Cavite, Negosyo Center Bacoor City, and the City of Bacoor LGU, conducted the first session of the Joint Programme on Inclusive, Competitive, and Responsible Digital Philippines (JP Digital-PINAS) on March 25, 2026, at the Revilla Hall focusing on the theme “Digital Empowerment of MSMEs.”

One hundred fourteen (114) fisher folks and their families were trained in social media digital marketing, online branding, Canva, and product photography, with hands-on activities in logo creation and product shoots to enhance their market reach.

The activity was attended by Bacoor City Mayor Strike Revilla, DTI Cavite Acting Provincial Director Lilibeth R. Chavez, OIC DC Julita C. Salvacion, representatives from Bacoor City LGU, ITC, PLDT, Smart Communications, and NC-TIDA Darryl James San Antonio.

This initiative is aimed to enhance the digital capabilities of MSMEs, particularly among vulnerable sectors.

Held in line with the celebration of National Women’s Month, the activity gathered women entrepreneurs and representatives from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The seminar provided participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in basic accounting and bookkeeping to help them effectively manage their finances and sustain their businesses.
Resource Speaker Ms. Mildred Ladao led an interactive discussion and facilitated a workshop to further reinforce participants' understanding of key concepts.
Through this initiative, DTI continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering entrepreneurs, particularly women, by equipping them with the necessary tools and competencies to strengthen and grow their businesses.

List of Products under DTI's Mandatory Certification | World Consumer Rights Day with DTI-Cavite
As part of the celebration of World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD), with the theme "Safe Products, Confident Consumers", DTI Cavite promotes the Right to Safety, by highlighting the importance of the Philippine Standard (PS) Mark and Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) Stickers on products covered by DTI’s mandatory certification. These quality and safety marks serve as assurance that products sold in the market have complied with established standards and have passed the required testing and evaluation.
Consumers are encouraged to always look for the PS Mark on locally manufactured products and the ICC Sticker on imported products to ensure safety, quality, and reliability.

On March 12, 2026, DTI Cavite participated as a speaker in BIR's Tax Briefing on Post–Client Assistance and Taxpayer Education (CHAT) Day Assistance to Taxpayers with Registration and Invoicing Compliance Gap held at the BIR Building, Trece Martires City, Cavite. The activity aimed to guide business owners on proper tax registration and compliance requirements.
OIC-DC Julita Salvacion presented DTI’s programs and services for entrepreneurs, while NC TIDA Joneil Jornales discussed the Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) program under the Barangay Micro Business Enterprises Act of 2002, highlighting its qualifications and benefits for micro enterprises.
Representatives from the BIR discussed the Online Registration and Update System (ORUS) and the basic requirements for business tax registration, including securing documents from agencies such as DTI and the SEC. They also clarified the difference between VAT and Non-VAT taxpayers and discussed possible penalties for non-compliance, such as surcharges and compromise penalties.
The activity strengthened taxpayers’ awareness of compliance requirements and promoted government support programs for MSMEs.

Ngayong World Consumer Rights Day, ipinapaalala ng DTI-Cavite sa pamamagitan ng Alisto Family ang 5 Consumer Responsibilities: maging mapanuri, kumilos laban sa panlilinlang, magmalasakit sa kapwa at kapaligiran, at makiisa bilang responsableng mamimili.
Ang pagiging ay hindi upang maging mas wais na mamimili lamang, kundi ito din ay tamang pag‑uugali bilang isang konsyumer na kung isinasaalang-alang ang kapakanan at karapatan ng kapwa nya konsyumer.

The Municipality of Magallanes celebrated its 110th Founding Anniversary and Muscovado Festival on March 12, 2026, with the theme “Payak na Pinagmulan, Maunlad at Maningning na Pamayanan.”
One of the highlights of the morning program was the Muscovado Festival cooking competition, where participants prepared creative dishes using muscovado as the main ingredient, promoting one of Magallanes’ known local products. In the afternoon, barangays competed in a kubo-building contest using coconut and bamboo materials, symbolizing appreciation for the hardworking farmers who contribute to the municipality’s local economy.
Representing the Department of Trade and Industry, DTI Cavite Business Counselor Mhea Alindugan served as one of the judges for both the cooking and kubo-building competitions, highlighting the agency’s continued support in promoting local products and strengthening micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
