MTF-ELCAC HONORS MEMBERS DURING NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS MONTH CY 2026

The Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) of Kiamba, chaired by the Hon. George F. Falgui, formally recognized its key stakeholders during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the Municipal Hall Lobby, New Building, today, September 14, 2026 , in line with the observance of National Peace Consciousness Month CY 2026 with this year's theme "Kapayapaan Pagtibayin, Kaunlaran Paigtingin".

The ceremony highlighted the vital contributions of Municipal Department Heads—who serve as active task force members of MTF-ELCAC—alongside the commanding officers from the Kiamba Municipal Police Station; 1204th MC, RMFB XII; 2ND Sarangani Provincial Mobile Force Company; the Charlie Company, 105th IB, 6ID, PA, and the Bureau of Fire Protection - Kiamba.

The recognition underscored the municipality’s whole-of-nation approach to maintaining peace, order, and community development across Kiamba’s 19 barangays, most especially the ELCAC identified barangays. Plaque of Recognition and a simple "Peace" symbol pin as token were awarded to Department Heads and Security Unit Commanders for their commitment to peacebuilding programs and grassroots service delivery.

To engage municipal employees and promote awareness, the event featured a fun Peace & ELCAC Trivia Game. Participants tested their knowledge with tokens awarded to quick-thinking winners.

By bringing civilian leaders and security personnel together, Kiamba continues to demonstrate that sustainable peace is built on active collaboration, community participation, and responsive governance.

COMMUNITY-BASED VALUE CHAIN TRAINING AND WORKSHOP FOR FRs PEOPLE’S ORGANIZATION.

To support the sustainable socio-economic reintegration of former rebels (FRs) and strengthen peacebuilding initiatives in local communities, a 2-day Community-Based Value Chain Training and Workshop was successfully conducted on September 10-11, 2026, held at Purok Matingao, Brgy. Tambilil, Kiamba, Sarangani Province. Organized and initiated by the OND HESED Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to community development and social services. This activity is mobilized in partnership with the MTF-ELCAC and 1204th MC, RMFB XII targetting the recently organized FR PO named TRIBAL NEW RESOLUTION FARMER'S ASSOCIATION, who aspires to venture into Coffee Production and Processing.

The program equipped members of the Former Rebels’ People’s Organization (PO) with technical skills, market linkages, and entrepreneurial mindsets necessary to transition local produce into viable commercial products.

This initiative underscores the ongoing commitment of OND HESED Foundation, Inc. and its development partners to advance community-led economic empowerment, social justice, and lasting peace.

The Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) chaired by the Hon. George F. Falgui, officially turned over essential medicine supplies worth Php350,000.00, to the Municipal Health Office (MHO) today, August 24, 2026 in support of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) Sustainment Phase, during the flag raising ceremony.

Through the "Whole-of-Nation" approach under Executive Order No. 70, this initiative aims to strengthen primary healthcare services delivery, address local community needs, and sustain peace and development gains in target barangays with vulnerable and/or GIDAs.

Present during the turnover were the physicians from the Municipal Health Office representing the Municipal Health Officer Maychel G. Panes, MD, facilitated by the MTF-ELCAC Focal Person and witnessed by key officials from the LGU, and the members of the MTF-ELCAC.

This is SUSTAINING PEACE THROUGH BASIC SERVICES.

TWO PROJECTS, ONE GOAL!

To strengthen local peace, security, and economic resilience, the Local Government Unit of Kiamba under the leadership of Hon. George F. Falgui, through the Kiamba Laban sa Kahirapan para sa Kapayapaan Project of the Municipal Agriculture's Office, and the 2ND Sarangani Provincial Mobile Force Company under the direct command of PLTCOL Hoover A. Antonio, spearheaded a joint activity featuring the official Turnover Ceremony of Sow Production Livestock for Former Rebel (FR) beneficiaries, integrated with Project Kumustahan, at Purok Rattan, Brgy. Lomuyon and Prk. 4, Brgy., Maligang, Kiamba, Sarangani Province.

Through this joint initiative, our beneficiaries were provided with livestock to help build sustainable livelihoods, paired with a heartwarming Project Kumustahan session to check on their well-being, listen to their stories, and ensure a smooth reintegration into the community.

The event was participated in by the representatives coming from the LGU, the program holders Malujomapet S. Bangcaya and Jandelbert Q. Velez from the Municipal Agriculture's Office, and the team from the securit unit, witnessed by selected barangay officials and the community.

The MTF-ELCAC is creating pathways toward economic stability, holistic healing, and genuine peace by mobilizing significant undertaking such as this to deliver and ensure holistic strategy towards total community transformation and sustainable peace.
