Through coordinated actions, proper response procedures, and teamwork, personnel demonstrated the unit’s commitment to safety, preparedness, and the protection of both staff and Persons Deprived of Liberty.

1st Quarter, CY 2026 Joint MPOC and MADAC Meeting

Yesterday, this unit joined the 1st Quarter Municipal Peace and Order Council and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council meeting at Kiangan, Ifugao.

JCINSP BARTOLOME B TRESMANIO highlighted the notable accomplishments of this unit leading to a recognition by the Regional Oversight Committee as a Drug-Free Workplace, reflecting the commitment of our personnel to maintain a safe and drug-free environment. The unit also continues to implement various drug intervention programs aimed at the welfare, rehabilitation, and holistic development of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

The activity gathered Chief Executives of various LGUs and National Government Agencies to share updates and strengthen coordination on disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery efforts in the province.

Through collaboration and unity, we continue building safer and more resilient communities. 💪🌱

Yesterday, Bro. Julius Kitong, Sis. Carissa Kitong, and Bro. Antonio Jucotan Jr from the Diocese of Baguio – Our Lady of Atonement Parish visited the jail unit to facilitate a meaningful Lenten Recollection for our Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Through graceful hymns and an inspiring reflection, Bro. Kitong shared the true essence of repentance and the call to believe in the Gospel. The activity encouraged everyone to pause, reflect, and rediscover God’s mercy—fostering deeper spiritual connection, sincere self-examination, and emotional healing.

Indeed, Lent is a powerful reminder that renewal, forgiveness, and hope are always within reach. 🙏✨

IFSU CCJE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

A meaningful journey of learning and service was successfully completed by the 69 Criminology Interns of Ifugao State University at Ifugao District Jail.

Throughout their internship, they actively participated in various activities centered on the welfare and development of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

📅 The ceremony took place on February 10, 2026, at the Baguio City Jail Male Dormitory Multi-purpose Hall.
🎖 The certificate was presented by PDEA-CAR Regional Director II Martin F. Francia and accepted by JCINSP BARTOLOME B TRESMANIO, Acting Jail Warden.

This recognition reflects our unit's hard work and dedication in maintaining a drug-free facility through strict security protocols, active intelligence monitoring, and meaningful programs for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Thanks to the generosity of LGU Kiangan, our jail now has a parachute tent for various activities that enhance the welfare and development of our PDL.

This new addition will serve as a venue for group activities, wellness programs, educational sessions, and recreational events, creating opportunities for learning, teamwork, and personal growth.

Every activity under this tent is a step toward building skills, fostering camaraderie, and nurturing a positive environment within our facility. It’s more than just a structure—it’s a symbol of hope, care, and continuous development.
