𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆𝘀 💜

On May 5–7, 2026, the 𝗙𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗚𝗔𝗗) 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 was successfully held at the De Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

Spearheaded by Municipal GAD Focal Person, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦. 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮 in coordination with the DILG Kibawe Field Office, this three-day event focused on empowering local leaders to craft inclusive and responsive GAD Plan and Budget.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our distinguished resource person, Provincial GAD Focal Person, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗲𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗘. 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻, for providing an in-depth guide on 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗚𝗔𝗗 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 and the salient features of the 𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗚-𝗡𝗘𝗗𝗔-𝗗𝗕𝗠-𝗣𝗖𝗪 𝗝𝗠𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰-𝟬𝟭 guidelines.

The technical review facilitated by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗲𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗘. 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗟𝗚𝗢𝗢 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗖. 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮, and 𝗘𝗻𝗣. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼 ensured that our barangays allocate their GAD resources toward strategic PPAs that respond to identified gender issues and promote social equity.

𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀: 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗞𝗶𝗯𝗮𝘄𝗲 𝗚𝗙𝗣𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 💜

The GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) of LGU Kibawe successfully held its 1st Quarter Meeting today, March 24, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Room, setting a proactive and strategic direction for advancing gender and development initiatives in the current year.

The meeting focused on key agenda items, including the review of priorities and updates on ongoing programs. Discussions centered on the development and refinement of the FY 2027 GAD Plan and Budget, emphasizing the alignment of strategic priorities and the optimization of resource allocation. It also included the presentation of the FY 2025 Annual GAD Accomplishment Report, which highlight significant achievements, alongside the FY 2026 1st Quarter GAD Accomplishment Report, showcasing progress in program implementation.

In addition, the GFPS provided updates on the ongoing review and enhancement of the GAD Code, as well as the status of existing GAD initiatives. The meeting also underscored the importance of continuous capacity development, including preparations for upcoming trainings and learning opportunities, ensuring that GFPS members are equipped to effectively implement gender-responsive programs and initiatives.

This gathering reflects LGU Kibawe’s steadfast commitment to promoting gender-responsive governance and delivering inclusive, impactful, and meaningful programs for all.

The FY 2027 GAD Planning and Budgeting Workshop was successfully held on March 9–13, 2026 at Alta Cebu Village Garden Resort, Cordova, Cebu, bringing together the GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) of LGU Kibawe. This gathering served as a platform for collaboration, learning, and planning, as the GFPS reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening gender-responsive programs, projects, and activities for the upcoming fiscal year.

Heartfelt appreciation goes to Glenda Hope A. Beley, South Cluster Head of DILG Bukidnon, our esteemed Resource Person, for guiding the GFPS with her expertise, enriching discussions, and empowering them to develop strong, inclusive, and impactful GAD plan and budget.

This workshop marks another step toward building gender-responsive governance and ensuring that our programs truly promote equality, inclusivity, and empowerment for all.
