DTI RAPID FARM TO MARKET ROAD TURN OVER | MAY 18, 2026
The DILG and DTI formally turned over the Farm-to-Market Road Project under the Rapid Growth Project during a ceremony held on May 18, 2026, at Barangay Kitacubong, Alamada, Province of Cotabato. The project marks another significant milestone in strengthening rural connectivity and enhancing economic opportunities for local farmers and residents.
Leading the activity was DTI Regional Director Flora D. Politud-Gabunales, together with Provincial Director Robert A. Orfrecio. During the ceremony, DTI reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the quality of life of communities through sustainable infrastructure and development programs that strengthen local economic growth and improve market accessibility for farmers and residents.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) also present, including MLGOO of Alamada Sarah L. Alamada and Assistant Regional Director Engr. Samuel A. Camaganacan, who expressed their unwavering support in the successful implementation of the project and emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration in uplifting rural communities.
Local government officials likewise conveyed their appreciation for the initiative. Hon. Mayor Jesus 'Susing' N. Sacdalan and Hon. Vice Mayor Victor S. Sacdalan expressed their gratitude to partner agencies for bringing development projects that directly benefit the people of Barangay Kitacubong and nearby communities.
The completed 1.3-kilometer concrete farm-to-market road is expected to provide significant opportunities for local residents, particularly farmers, by improving transportation access, reducing travel time, and enabling easier delivery of agricultural products to markets. The project is also seen to contribute to increased productivity, economic activity, and better access to essential services in the area.Through initiatives such as the Rapid Growth Project, DTI, DILG, and LGUβs continues to champion inclusive growth and community development by investing in infrastructure projects that create lasting impact and open new opportunities for rural communities across the region.
