EMPOWERING LOCAL GOVERNANCE: Midsayap LPMCs and Provincial LGUs Level Up Skills and Compliance! | MAY 20-21, 2026

A productive week for local governance and project monitoring unfolded last May 20-21, 2026, as back-to-back capacity-building and assessment activities took center stage in Cotabato Province.

In Midsayap, the Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) members took a major leap forward through a specialized Capability Building Seminar entitled "Training-Workshop on Engineering for Non-Engineers." This initiative aimed to sharpen the knowledge and skills of LPMC members, equipping them to effectively execute their vital roles in project monitoring, evaluation, and documentation, while strictly ensuring compliance with industry standards and policies. The highly informative sessions were masterfully facilitated by Engr. Krisnan R. Panisa. This impactful activity was made possible through the proactive initiative of Midsayap Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Emilia S. Dandoy, paving the way for LPMC members to be capacitated with the precise skills crucial to their respective duties.

Simultaneously, the Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) of Cotabato Province conducted the Provincial SubayBAYAN Assessment for the Provincial Government of Cotabato and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kidapawan City. This critical assessment served a dual purpose to thoroughly evaluate the compliance of every LGU on the SubayBAYAN portal. Through these parallel efforts, Cotabato Province continues to champion transparency, accountability, and excellence in local infrastructure development!
