REPLAY! KALAMBAG!🏳️‍🌈 Safe Schools for All Part Two: Pagbuo ng Ligtas at Inclusive na Paaralan

Noong nakaraang episode, nagbahagi ang KALAMBAG youth ng kanilang mga pananaw at karanasan tungkol sa kalagayan ng LGBTQ+ learners sa paaralan. Mula sa usapin ng bullying at diskriminasyon hanggang sa kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng ligtas at welcoming na school environment, maraming mahahalagang punto ang lumitaw sa talakayan.

Sa pagpapatuloy ng usapang ito ngayong Pride Month, sasamahan tayo ng isang special guest mula sa PANTAY (Philippine Anti-Discrimination Alliance of Youth Leaders) upang mas mapalalim pa ang ating pag-unawa sa mga hamon na pinagdadaanan ng LGBTQ+ learners. Pag uusapan din natin ang mga maaaring gawin upang makabuo ng mas ligtas at mas inclusive na paaralan.

KALAMBAG! 📖 General Education Noon at Ngayon: Paano Ito Nagbabago?

Sa paglipas ng panahon, patuloy na nagbabago ang General Education (GenEd) sa Pilipinas. Mula sa mas malawak na old curriculum, papunta sa K-12 ngayon, at kamakailan, ang proposal ng CHED na “Reframed General Education Curriculum.”
Bagamat ipinagpaliban muna hanggang 2028 ang pilot testing ng nasabing proposal, muling nabuksan ng usaping ito ang mahahalagang tanong tungkol sa direksyon ng edukasyon sa bansa.

Paano nababalanse ng edukasyon ang paghahanda para sa trabaho at ang mas malawak nitong papel sa paghubog ng kaisipan at pag-unawa sa lipunan? Sa patuloy na pagbabago ng GenEd, paano kaya naaapektuhan ang lalim ng pag-unawa sa ilang asignatura at larangan?

Samahan muli ang KALAMBAG youth sa isang makabuluhang talakayan kasama si Atty. Severo Brillantes, ang ating featured guest, upang pag-usapan ang pagbabago ng edukasyon sa paglipas ng panahon.

Saniel-Cruz National High School officially welcomed its new School Principal and Assistant to the Principal during the recent turnover ceremony, marking a fresh chapter guided by the school’s mantra, The School of Heart.

Newly appointed Principal Arturo L. Jimenez Jr formally assumed office and set the tone in his welcome message, assuring the school community that leadership will be grounded in compassion and service.

“𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭, ‘𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵,’” Jimenez said.

The purest thank you comes from a child’s smile. 🫶

Who knew that the genuine smiles of children could quietly melt our hearts? In the simplest moments, we realized that their way of saying thank you did not need words. It was shown through their bright smiles, warm laughter, and the genuine friendships they shared with us. ✨️❤️‍🩹

In giving our time and help, we unexpectedly received something greater, pure joy, inspiration, and a reminder of why service truly matters. These small moments stayed with us, teaching us that kindness is felt most deeply when it is shared from the heart.✨️

Their smiles said everything our hearts needed to hear. 🤍
