The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XII โ€“ Cotabato Field Office (CFO) continues to uphold the rights and welfare of working children through the implementation of the Child Working Permit (CWP) in accordance with Republic Act No. 9231 and the latest DOLE guidelines.

Under DOLE Labor Advisory No. 12, Series of 2026, children below 15 years old who participate in public entertainment or informationโ€”including certain forms of online content creation such as vlogs, livestreams, social media content, and digital mediaโ€”may be required to secure a Working Child Permit (WCP) before engagement.

Through the WCP, DOLE remains committed to protecting children, promoting responsible employment practices, and ensuring that all work involving minors complies with the safeguards established under Philippine labor laws.

Before operating mechanical equipment or electrical installations, ensure that all required plans, inspections, and permits are secured. Compliance with DOLE Technical Safety requirements helps prevent workplace accidents, protects workers, and promotes a safer working environment.

Under the Technical Safety Inspection Program, employers and establishments are encouraged to:
โ€ข Secure approved installation plans;
โ€ข Undergo Technical Safety Inspection;
โ€ข Obtain the required Permit to Operate or Certificate of Electrical Inspection; and
โ€ข Ensure that only qualified personnel operate equipment.

Remember: No Permit, No Operation is not just a requirementโ€”it's a commitment to protecting lives and ensuring safe workplaces.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XII โ€“ Cotabato Field Office (CFO) continues to strengthen youth employability through the implementation of the JobStart Philippines Program, pursuant to Republic Act No. 10869 and Department Order No. 179, Series of 2017.

The JobStart Philippines Program is a full-cycle employment facilitation initiative designed to assist unemployed Filipino youth in their transition from school to work. The program enhances the employability of young jobseekers by providing life skills training, technical skills training, and internship opportunities with private sector employers, preparing them for gainful and decent employment.

Through strong partnerships with employers, Local Government Units (LGUs), and Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs), JobStart bridges the gap between education and employment by equipping participants with industry-relevant competencies, workplace experience, and the confidence needed to succeed in today's dynamic labor market.
