COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM: “Balik Aral School Supplies Alay ng DAR”
On June 3, 2026, employees of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) conducted a Community Outreach Program entitled “Balik Aral School Supplies Alay ng DAR” at Agkir-Agkir Elementary School in Sitio Agkir-Agkir, Libungan, Cotabato Province. The activity benefited 61 learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6 through the distribution of school supplies and school bags, food packs, used clothing, and other educational support materials. The school also received six reams of bond paper, while tokens were provided to teachers in recognition of their invaluable role in educating the youth.
Beyond providing educational assistance, the program also promoted environmental awareness through the planting of 100 seedlings provided by the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), Midsayap. The activity reflects DAR’s commitment to fostering community development, promoting access to education, and strengthening partnerships with local communities.
Sitio Agkir-Agkir forms part of the landholding of Sulpicio Cosicol et al., which is currently subject for subdivision survey under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project of the Department of Agrarian Reform. Through community-based programs such as this, DAR continues to extend its services beyond land tenure improvement by contributing to the welfare and development of agrarian reform communities and their residents.
The outreach program was made possible through the collective efforts and generosity of DAR Cotabato officials and employees, particularly PARPO II Evangeline C. Bueno, together with partner offices and other donors who voluntarily contributed resources and support for the successful conduct of the activity.
