Discussing the province’s economic performance, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Cotabato conducted the Provincial Product Accounts Dissemination Forum on October 8 at Felicity Hall, Boylyn Pensione Plaza and Restaurant in Kidapawan City, Cotabato Province.

National and Regional Officials of the Philippine Statistics Authority, as well as Provincial Officials, offered their support to the province in conducting the said forum.

Cotabato PSO OIC-CSS, Norhayyah A. Tula, presented the Highlights of the Economic Performance of the Province of Cotabato. While Angela Rose P. Ramos of the Provincial Planning & Development Office of Cotabato and Eden F. Ridao, Chief Economic Development Specialist, of DEPDev XII, presented insights and implications.

Representatives from the Municipal and City Planning and Development Offices, National Line Agencies, and Media Partners attended the forum.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Cotabato Province presented the 2025 Economic Performance of the Province of Cotabato. The office reported that the province's economy grew by 3.6 percent in 2025.

Services posted the fastest growth among the three major industries with 5.4 percent growth, contributing the largest share to the province's overall economic growth. Followed by Industry with 4.8 percent. Meanwhile, Agriculture, forestry, and fishing posted a negative growth rate with -0.7 percent.

Bringing essential government services closer to Cotabato residents, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Cotabato Provincial Statistical Office is currently holding its PSA Open House Day: Serbisyong PSA Para sa Lahat today, October 8, as part of the 37th National Statistics Month celebration.

The one-day activity features various PSA services, including civil registration, National ID, legal assistance, and statistical products, alongside partner agencies such as Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, and SSS, bringing government services to Cotabateños.

READ | August 2026 Number and Percent Distribution of Employed Persons by Sector 📊

The Services sector 🏢 continued to account for the largest share of employed persons in the Philippines at 61.7% in August 2026.

Meanwhile, the Agriculture 🌾 and Industry 🏭 sectors accounted for 20.9% and 17.3% of the total employment, respectively.
