📚 **Did You Know?**

The name **Cotabato** comes from the Maguindanao term "Kuta Wato, which means "Stone Fort." This name reflects the rich history of strength, courage, and resistance of the people who lived along the Pulangi River basin.

📚✨ Benchmarking Visit Today ✨📚

We were honored to welcome the representatives from LGU South Cotabato during their visit to learn more about the rich history of Cotabato Province and the library’s Bookmobile Library Services Program.

The activity became a meaningful opportunity to share knowledge, experiences, and information about mobile library services, collections, and initiatives that bring books, learning, and educational opportunities closer to the communities. 📖🚍

It also highlighted the importance of libraries in preserving history and providing accessible information to the public. 🤝✨

Thank you for visiting and for supporting library and cultural initiatives. 💙

📚 Labor Day 2026 ✊
Honoring the hands that build, serve, teach, and inspire.

This May 1, we celebrate not only hard work but the power of knowledge that drives progress and empowers communities. Every page turned, every skill learned, and every effort given brings us closer to a better tomorrow.

💡 “No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has value.”

Bookmobile Library Services Program

Bringing the library closer to the people since 2018, the Bookmobile serves as a “Library on Wheels” delivering books, digital resources, and interactive learning activities to public schools and far-flung barangays across the Province of Cotabato.

Through storytelling, reading, educational games, and tablet-based learning with video stories and moral lessons, the program promotes literacy, creativity, and values formation among learners.

Stay cool and stay informed! ☀️📚

As the heat index rises across the province, the **Cotabato Provincial Library and Information Center** wants everyone to stay safe while enjoying their summer break. Whether you're hitting the books or heading outdoors, keep these "Beat the Heat" tips in mind:

---

# # # 🧊 Quick Guide to Beating the Heat:

* **Stay Hydrated:** Drink plenty of water! Don't wait until you’re thirsty to take a sip.
* **Seek Cool Spaces:** Our library is a great place to escape the sun. Take a break in air-conditioned or shaded areas between **10 AM and 4 PM**.
* **Dress Lightly:** Wear breathable, light-colored cotton clothes to help your body stay cool.
* **Protect Your Skin:** If you must go out, use sunscreen (SPF 30+), hats, and sunglasses.
* **Know the Signs:** Watch out for dizziness, heavy sweating, or nausea. If you feel unwell, move to a cool area immediately.
* **Look Out for Each other:** Check in on your Lolo, Lola, and neighbors to make sure they are staying hydrated too.

---

> **Library Reminder:** You are always welcome to spend your warm afternoons with us. It’s the perfect time to dive into a new book in a cool, comfortable environment! 📖❄️
