OBSERVANCE OF MUSLIM LEGAL HOLIDAY

In accordance with Memorandum Order No. 48 issued by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., the work in the offices of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato is suspended on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in observance of Maulidin Nabi or the birthday of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W., which is recognized as a Muslim legal holiday.

Regular operations will resume on August 27, 2026

Among the innovative features of the modernized PhilGEPS to make government procurement more efficient, transparent, and accountable is the eMarketplace—the government’s official e-commerce platform that allows procuring entities to search, compare, select, and procure common-use supplies and equipment (CSE) from legally, technically, and financially capable suppliers. At present, the eMarketplace offers motor vehicles, airline tickets through the Government Fares Agreement program, software and licenses, and cloud computing services.
This initiative reflects the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s commitment to digital transformation, with the Department of Budget and Management, under the leadership of Acting Secretary Kim Robert de Leon, advancing reforms that promote a more efficient, transparent, and accountable government procurement system.
