LOOK: In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Community Support, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel of RECU 8 Ormoc CECU, led by PEMS Reynante M Carba, Team Leader, together with PMSg Brian L Conejos, PMSg Venice S Pelipel, and PSSg Arman C Pame, conducted a Project A.B.K.D. (Awareness of Bombs that Kill Lives and Destroy Properties) Lecture at the Barangay Bagong Buhay Multi-Purpose Hall, Barangay Bagong Buhay, Ormoc City.

The lecture was attended by thirty (30) participants composed of Barangay Officials, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council members, and Barangay Tanods of Barangay Bagong Buhay, headed by Punong Barangay Victorino C. Cuizon. The discussion focused on enhancing the participants' awareness and understanding of bomb threats, the identification of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and the appropriate actions to take during bomb-related incidents. The activity strengthened the participants' preparedness and capability to support public safety initiatives and respond effectively to potential explosive threats within their community.

The conduct of the lecture further reinforced the PNP-EOD/K9 Group's commitment to promoting public awareness, strengthening community resilience, and fostering collaborative efforts with local stakeholders in maintaining peace, order, and public safety.

RECU 10 PROMOTES PUBLIC VIGILANCE THROUGH CAMPAIGN PLAN D.I.K.I.T.

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Community Support, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, and under the supervision of PMAJ LENARD RELOJ CARANDANG, OIC, RECU 10, personnel of the Provincial Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit (PECU) Bukidnon, RECU 10, conducted the posting of Campaign Plan D.I.K.I.T. stickers at the Public Terminal, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

The activity aimed to strengthen public awareness and encourage vigilance by disseminating information through strategically placed Campaign Plan D.I.K.I.T. stickers in a high-traffic public area. The campaign serves as a proactive initiative to promote community participation in crime prevention and public safety by reminding commuters, transport operators, and the general public to remain alert and immediately report any suspicious persons, objects, or activities to the authorities.

The successful implementation of the activity reaffirmed the PNP-EOD/K9 Group's commitment to enhancing public safety, fostering community engagement, and supporting the Philippine National Police's ongoing efforts to maintain peace and order through preventive and awareness-driven initiatives.

LOOK: In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Enhanced-Managing Police Operations, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, and under the supervision of PCOL EDWARD D QUIJANO, C, EODOD, PNP-EOD/K9 Group CBRN personnel composed of PSSg Hazel G Wandagan, PCpl Catherine B De Guzman, Pat Charmaine V Alfuerte, and Pat Bernard S Santos, conducted a Paneling and Security Operation at the Plenary Hall, Holding Area, North and South Wing Offices, and the perimeter of the House of Representatives, Batasan Pambansa Complex, Batasan Hills, Quezon City, in connection with the Fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2026 of His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr to ensure the safety and security of the venue before the arrival of the President, government officials, dignitaries, and other attendees.

The team performed systematic paneling and security inspection procedures to detect and prevent the presence of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) hazards, ensuring that all designated areas were safe and secure.

LOOK: In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Enhanced-Managing Police Operations, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, and under the leadership of PMAJ JOSEPH A NEBRIDA, OIC, RECU 11, personnel of RECU 11 Headquarters Explosive Incident Response Team (EIRT) led by PCMS Frederick S Sunico, EIRT Team Leader/EDDH, together with PMSg Joseph Raymund L Corilla, EOD Technician, and PCpl Camelo P Veroy, EOD Technician conducted a Junk Shop Visitation and Inspection at Sagrada Junk Shop, Brgy. Poblacion, Calinan, Davao City, as part of the unit's continuing efforts to prevent the proliferation of unexploded ordnance (UXO) and explosive remnants of war (ERW) in the community.

Upon arrival, the team coordinated with Mr. Arman D. Antigwua, a 59-year-old employee of the junk shop and a resident of Brgy. Bantol, Marilog District, Davao City. During the coordination, Mr. Antigwua informed the EOD Team that a suspected vintage bomb had been discovered among assorted scrap metals purchased from an unidentified individual. According to him, the item was found while the employees were sorting the scrap metals after the transaction.

The EOD Team immediately conducted a thorough threat assessment and technical examination of the suspected ordnance. The item was positively identified as one (1) 105mm High Explosive (H.E.) Projectile, without fuze, and was observed to be rusty, corroded, and deformed, classifying it as an unexploded ordnance (UXO) that still posed a potential hazard despite its deteriorated condition.

Following the identification, the EOD personnel provided safety awareness to the junk shop employees regarding the dangers associated with handling unexploded ordnance and explosive remnants of war. They emphasized the importance of immediately notifying the authorities whenever suspected explosive items are discovered or inadvertently received to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.

After ensuring that all safety protocols were observed, the recovered UXO was safely transported to RECU 11 Headquarters, Camp Major Rollie T. Frondoso, Brgy. Malagos, Baguio District, Davao City, where it was placed under proper custody for safekeeping and appropriate disposition in accordance with established Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) procedures.

STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY PREPAREDNESS THROUGH PROJECT A.B.K.D. AWARENESS LECTURE

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Community Support, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group and under the supervision of PMAJ LENARD RELOG CARANDANG, OIC, RECU10, personnel of Misamis Occidental Provincial Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit (PECU MisOcc) led by PLT JOVITO MANAYAGA MIGUEL, together with PMSg Rollie Dave T Nugpo conducted an information and awareness campaign under Project A.B.K.D. (Awareness of Bombs that Kill Lives and Destroy Properties) at Barangay Hoyohoy, Tangub City, Misamis Occidental, pursuant to the Memorandum from the OIC, RECU 10 regarding the Launching of Project A.B.K.D. The lecture was attended by fourteen (14) members of the Tangub City Corps Band, who actively participated in the discussion and learning activities.

The lecture focused on enhancing participants' knowledge and awareness of explosive-related threats, including the identification of explosive ordnance and unexploded ordnance (UXO), the nature and hazards of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and appropriate Bomb Threat Management procedures. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of vigilance, timely reporting of suspicious objects or activities, and adherence to safety protocols to prevent explosive-related incidents.

Through this activity, RECU 10 reaffirmed its commitment to promoting public safety by empowering community members with essential knowledge on explosive awareness and preparedness. The successful conduct of the lecture further strengthened the partnership between the Philippine National Police and the local community in fostering a culture of vigilance, resilience, and shared responsibility in safeguarding lives and properties from explosive threats.

LOOK: In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Enhanced-Managing Police Operations, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, and under the supervision of PCOL EDWARD C QUIJANO, C, EODOD, personnel of PNP EOD/K9 Group Camp Crame Explosive Incident Response Team (EIRT) led by PSMS William U Camarao, Team Leader of EIRT Bravo, together with PSMS Jonas S. Negrito, PMSg Eduardo S Fajardo Jr., PMSg Dhalia M Yanzon, PMSg Efren R Jimenez, PSSg Donato V Gumpal Jr., PSSg Maria Crizzel Cerrera, and Pat Jaymark Eufemiano, K9 Handler, conducted a Target Hardening through Vital Installation Visitation and Paneling Operation at Gate 4, Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City, in accordance with Document No. PNP-EOD/K9-QMS-F-016-548.

During the paneling operation, the team conducted a thorough paneling and inspection of the vital installation to assess its security condition and deter potential security threats, including the possible presence of explosives, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), or other hazardous materials. The activity also served to enhance police visibility and reinforce security measures within the area of responsibility, ensuring the safety of PNP personnel, visitors, and government facilities.

Marcos Jr., to the Province of Camiguin.

These preventive measures are vital in preempting potential threats. Through a heightened presence at key venues, the Group remains strictly committed to ensuring public safety and providing a secure environment for this significant presidential engagement.
