โDOMENGโ SLIGHTLY WEAKENS AS IT CONTINUES MOVING NORTHWARD NEAR OKINAWA, JAPAN
โข Location of Center (10:00 AM)
The center of the eye of Typhoon DOMENG was estimated based on all available data at 710 km Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (24.8ยฐN, 127.2ยฐE).
โข Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 150 km/h, and central pressure of 975 hPa
โข Present Movement
Northward at 20 km/h
โข Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds
Strong to typhoon-force winds extend outwards up to 500 km from the center

โฃ Severe Winds
The enhancement of the Southwest Monsoon and the periphery of DOMENG will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds):
โข Today: Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Panay Island, and Negros Occidental.
โข Tomorrow (02 June): Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur.
โข Wednesday (03 June): Ilocos Region, Benguet, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Aklan, and Capiz.
HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS
โฃ 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook
Up to rough seas over the following coastal waters:
โข Up to 3.0 m: The northern and eastern seaboards of Batanes.
โข Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced of operating ill-equipped vessels.
Up to moderate seas over the following coastal waters:
โข Up to 2.5 m: The seaboard of Isabela; the remaining seaboard of Batanes; the northern and eastern seaboards of Babuyan Islands and Catanduanes; the northeastern seaboard of Aurora; the northern seaboards of Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur; the eastern seaboards of mainland Cagayan; the southern seaboard of Kalayaan Islands.
โข Up to 2.0 m: The remaining seaboards of Aurora and Kalayaan Islands; the northern seaboard of Ilocos Norte; the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Samar; the eastern seaboards of Sorsogon and Eastern Samar; the western seaboard of Palawan.
โข Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions.
Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m.
TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
โข It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the forecast confidence cone. Refer to โOther Hazards affecting Land Areasโ for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone.
โข Typhoon DOMENG will begin moving north northeastward today towards southern Japan. This tropical cyclone will likely exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this noon.
โข DOMENG began weakening while moving towards Okinawa, Japan.
Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.
