TINGNAN | 𝐂𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐂 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐚 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦

Iginawad sa City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) Koronadal ang Pillar of Press Freedom Award ng South Cotabato Press Club, Inc. sa ginanap na Tingog South Cotabato Awards noong ika-20 ng Agosto, sa CHEQ Seafoods Dampa, Lungsod ng Koronadal. Ito ay bilang pagkilala sa suporta at ambag ng opisina sa pagtataguyod ng responsable at malayang pamamahayag.

Maraming salamat po sa pagkilalang ito lalo na sa mga kaibigan nating mamamahayag sa Lungsod ng Koronadal sa patuloy na pakikipagtulungan at paglingkod sa publiko.

Kinikilala ng CADAC ang mahalagang papel ng media sa pagbibigay ng wasto at napapanahong impormasyon, pagpapalawak ng pampublikong kamalayan, at pagpapatibay ng pananagutan sa paglilingkod-bayan. Sa mga usaping may kinalaman sa iligal na droga, mahalaga ang pakikipagtulungan upang maihatid ang impormasyon nang may katumpakan, pananagutan, at paggalang sa dignidad ng bawat tao.

Makatitiyak kayo na mananatiling bukas ang CADAC sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa media bilang katuwang sa pagsusulong ng makabuluhang impormasyon, responsableng pamamahayag, at mga programang nagtataguyod ng ligtas, malusog, at maunlad na pamayanan.

The City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) and the City Information Office (CIO) convened for a Strategic Planning Workshop on Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Materials on September 23, 2026, to strengthen the city’s communication strategies and advance a more responsive, inclusive, and development-oriented approach to anti-illegal drugs advocacy.

Building on earlier discussions, the workshop underscored the importance of harmonizing information across the different sectors and partner agencies engaged in the city’s anti-drug initiatives. By aligning key messages, improving information-sharing mechanisms, and ensuring consistency across communication platforms, CADAC aims to foster a more coherent and accessible flow of information for communities and stakeholders.

Sa bawat aral, may pagkakataong makinig. Sa bawat usapan, may pagkakataong makapagligtas.

Ngayong World Teachers’ Day, kinikilala ng City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) ang mahalagang papel ng ating mga g**o bilang katuwang sa paghubog ng isang komunidad na ligtas mula sa iligal na droga.

Higit pa sa pagtuturo ng mga aralin, ang mga g**o ay nakakasama ng kabataan sa mga panahong kailangan nila ng gabay, pag-unawa, at isang taong handang makinig. Sa loob at labas ng silid-aralan, may kakayahan silang magsimula ng mahahalagang usapan tungkol sa tamang desisyon, pangarap, pagkatao, at mga hamon na kinakaharap ng kabataan.

Sa ating pakikipagtulungan sa mga g**o, mas napapalapit natin ang tamang impormasyon at gabay sa kabataan—lalo na sa panahon kung kailan sila higit na nangangailangan ng suporta at proteksyon kontra iligal na droga.

Maraming salamat sa ating mga g**o sa bawat aral, bawat paalala, at bawat usapang maaaring maging simula ng mas mabuting pagpili.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲

Our Word of the Day series continues with a simple reminder: words can change meaning depending on how and where they are used.

🗿 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐨 /𝑏𝑎ℎ-𝑡𝑜ℎ/ usually means a stone or rock. But it has also been documented as a street term for shabu. The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB, 2020) lists "𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐨" among terms associated with drugs and substances in its research on Filipino drug lingo.

So, when it comes to conversations about illegal drugs, context matters.

A familiar word can carry a different meaning, and knowing these terms can help us avoid danger.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐁𝐃𝐑𝐏-𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝

The City of Koronadal has achieved 100% CBDRP accreditation, with all 27 barangays now recognized for meeting the standards of the Department of Health (DOH) for community-based drug rehabilitation.

The 15 remaining barangays successfully passed the CBDRP (Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program) evaluation on July 2, 2026 and were formally issued their Accreditation Certificates by DOH Center for Health Development SOCCSKSARGEN, dated July 27, 2026. This completes the citywide accreditation following the successful batch of 12 barangays last November 10, 2025.
