HAPPENING NOW | Day 2 of the LRBI Training for LGUs – Batch 1

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII, through its Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), continues the Training on the Local Roads and Bridges Inventory (LRBI) Program for Local Government Units (LGUs) – Batch 1, being conducted from June 2–4, 2026 at Agua Frio Garden Resort.

FINAL INSPECTION OF LAST TWO LGSF-SBDP UA 2024 PROJECTS IN COTABATO PROVINCE COMPLETED

The final inspection of the last two remaining LGSF-SBDP UA 2024 projects in Cotabato Province was successfully conducted on May 26 and 28, 2026 in Tulunan and Makilala.

The projects include:
• Construction of Level II Potable Water Supply System in Tulunan
• Upgrading of Level II to Level III Water Supply System in Makilala

Each project was funded under the LGSF-SBDP UA 2024 with an allocation from ₱2.5 million to ₱5 million each barangay bringing the total project investment for the two beneficiary to ₱10 million.

These water supply projects aim to provide safe, reliable, and sustainable access to potable water, improving public health, sanitation, and overall quality of life in beneficiary communities.

With this inspection, all LGSF-SBDP UA 2024 projects in Cotabato Province have now been fully completed and inspected, marking a milestone in the government’s continuing efforts to strengthen basic service delivery at the community level.

HAPPENING NOW: LPMC Competency Certification Training Program Officially Begins Under the Project Monitoring Learning Hub – SOCCSKSARGEN

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII has officially commenced Module 1 of the Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) Competency Certification Training Program under the Project Monitoring Learning Hub – SOCCSKSARGEN, marking another significant milestone in strengthening local governance and project monitoring systems across the region.

The training program serves as a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Local Project Monitoring Committees (LPMCs) in effectively carrying out monitoring and evaluation functions within their respective Local Government Units (LGUs).

DILG XII and DTI RAPID Growth Project Lead Turn-Over Ceremonies of Completed Farm-to-Market Road Projects in Alamada and Bagumbayan**

On May 18–19, 2026, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region XII (DILG XII), in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) RAPID Growth Project, jointly attended the Turn-over Ceremonies of completed Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) projects in the municipalities of Alamada and Bagumbayan.

The activities were led by DILG XII Officer-in-Charge Regional Director Samuel A. Camaganacan and DTI XII Regional Director and National Project Coordinating Office (NPCO) Project Director Flora D. Politud-Gabunales, together with Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs), Provincial Development Management Unit (PDMU) Technical Engineers, DTI Regional and Provincial Coordinating Units, and local government officials.

Hosted by Alamada Mayor Jesus N. Sacdalan and Bagumbayan Mayor Elizer B**g David Segura, the ceremonies formally marked the transfer of the completed road projects to the respective Local Government Units (LGUs) and beneficiary communities for proper operation and maintenance.

The completed Farm-to-Market Roads are expected to significantly improve transportation access, strengthen agricultural productivity, enhance market connectivity, and create greater economic opportunities for local farmers and residents. The projects likewise underscore the continued commitment of DILG XII and DTI RAPID Growth Project in supporting inclusive rural development and sustainable local economic growth across Region XII.

DILG XII Conducts Final Inspection of SBDP Projects in Tampakan and Maitum

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), conducted final inspections of completed Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) projects in Tampakan on May 7, 2026, and in Maitum on May 13–14, 2026.

Projects inspected included farm-to-market roads and streetlights aimed at improving basic services, road connectivity, and community safety.

The inspection activities were conducted to validate the completion and compliance of the projects with approved standards and specifications, ensuring that the implemented infrastructure will provide lasting benefits to the communities.

𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐆𝐒𝐅-𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐅𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐈𝐍 𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐒𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐏, 𝐂𝐎𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐎

On May 06, 2026, a final inspection was conducted in the completed Concreting of Multi-Purpose Building in Midsayap, Cotabato Province with total allocation of P5,000,000.00 under the Local Government Support Fund – Financial Assistance to LGUs (LGSF – FALGU FY 2024) subsidy.

The inspection was jointly conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Technical Engineers and Project Evaluation Officer (PEO) together with the Technical Personnel of the LGU, Local Project Monitoring Committee and the Contractor.

The team ensured that the project constructed in accordance to the National standards and was ready for official turnover and use.

This five (5) partition room of the MPB will become the storage area and office of the LGUs. It is also designed to serve multiple purposes, offering flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse needs. Also, the successful completion marks a significant milestone in the government’s commitment to grassroots development and improved public services.
