The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII – Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center (DSWD FO XII-AVRC) successfully launched its partnership with Palmes Institute of Technology Incorporated through a ceremonial signing held today, March 10, 2026, at Brgy. Rotonda, City of Koronadal.
The ceremonial signing was graciously hosted by the School President, Psyche Palmes, together with her dedicated staff. The event was attended by the supportive DSWD Regional Director, Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya, Division Chief Nanig C. Sanoy, RSW, Regional Center Coordinator Jeahanne Dari, RSW, Center Head of AVRC Ombra S. Sangcupan, LPT, Center Head of HFGW Rosemarie Alcebar, along with other staff members from both centers.
This partnership signifies a shared commitment to strengthening vocational rehabilitation initiatives and expanding opportunities for skills development, empowerment, and inclusive growth for the PWD individuals and communities served by the institutions.
As stipulated in the signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), Palmes Institute of Technology, Inc. will assist Persons with Disabilities (PWD) clients enrolled in the Massage Therapy course in obtaining the National Certificate II (NC II) from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Furthermore, the Institute expressed its commitment to hire qualified PWD graduates from the AVRC, providing them with employment opportunities suited to their acquired skills and competencies.
